Purpose

Box is building the next generation computer Security Operations team for the cloud, and you can be a critical part of this creative, fast-paced, and exciting team. We are seeking information security specialists who have expertise programming, as well as a solid understanding of information security principles.

 

As a Security Automation Intern you will spend time with the Security Operations team familiarizing yourself with the Box infrastructure and tooling. Once familiar, you will assist the Security Automation team in building tools to expedite and enrich the Security Operations team's event analysis tasks. This role is ideal for a motivated security engineer interested in improving their development skills, or a skilled programmer with a working knowledge of information security.

 Who you are

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • Experience with Python and knowledge of Python best practices; Open source contributions is a plus!
  • Experience working with API services.
  • Excellent communications and analytical skills.
  • Demonstrated passion for technology and background in two of the following domains: security products and technologies, security engineering, networking protocols, security analysis and investigations.

 

Interviewing Process
