What is Spreetail

Spreetail is an ecommerce company that currently operates VMInnovations, a multi-marketplace retailer that sells thousands of awesome products through major marketplaces like Amazon, eBay, and Walmart. Spreetail is currently in the middle of building something big, new, and exciting due to launch in 2019 with a simple mission: to make customers’ lives better through exceptionally fast service, great products, and community impact.

Originally from Lincoln, Nebraska, Spreetail has recently expanded into two new offices based in Omaha, NE and Austin, TX with rapidly growing teams. We currently have hundreds of employees across the company, and are searching for crazy smart, talented, visionary people.

These internships will run from mid-May to mid-August 2019, ending with our annual company trip. 

The Software Engineering team creates elegant solutions (with the help of product managers and frontend engineers) using: Web/API Development, Data Reporting and Analysis, Integration with External Technologies, High level of test automation.

As a Software Engineering intern, you are a self-starter who is driven to deliver software that solves the problems of fellow team members. You are a lifelong learner with an insatiable passion for code and the newest technologies.

You will be put on a squad for one of the different departments in the company. All of the software that we can build in-house we do, so you will have an integral part in making that happen. You will work on one large project throughout the summer as you also work alongside the full-time engineers to create and improve the foundation of our business each day.

Preferred skills:

• Understanding of object-oriented programming 
• Experience working with: C#, Java, JavaScript, HTML,
• Willingness to learn and ability to adapt 
• Innovation and drive to build the foundation of our company's software from the ground up
