Summer Intern - Marketing Communications
We are seeking a Marketing Communications Intern to join the Q2 Marketing Communications Team. In this internship you will get a 360 degree view of communications and how it fits not only with the overall marketing strategy but also with the overall company strategy.
The Summer Internship Program is 12-weeks long (May 25th - August 13th) and all positions are paid hourly with an average work week of 40 hours. In addition to your daily work, you will be given the opportunity for weekly classroom trainings with Sr. Leadership, activities with other Q2 interns and the opportunity to present to the Executive Leadership team at the end of the program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Participate in virtual marketing team meetings
· Virtually shadow Marketing Communications team members to learn what it is like to work on a marketing team for a high tech company
· Partner with other marketing interns on specific, special projects
· Draft and develop specific writing assignments (i.e. case studies, presentations, blog posts, etc)
· Participate in virtual Q2 events
· Meet with other marketing leaders to understand different roles in marketing
· Meet with other key stakeholders to understand how marketing fits into the overall company strategy
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
· Pursuing Degree in Marketing or Communications
· Interest in Marketing Communications/Writing
· Strong writing skills
· Exceptional work ethic, highly efficient and accurate
· Excellent attention to detail
· Ability to operate independently and proactively with minimal up-front instruction and take ownership of work product; driven, diligent, and self-motivated
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Ability to work independently or as part of a team
· Excellent communication skills with a customer service focus
· Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
