Summer Intern - Mobile (Product & Engineering)
We are seeking a Mobile App Developer intern to join the Mobile Engineering Team. In this internship, you will receive real-world, hands-on experience with mobile software design projects that support our financial institutions. You will have the opportunity to learn from a collaborative team of seasoned developers how to develop, test, and maintain Android and iOS hybrid apps, as well as gain exposure to other teams within our software company.
The Summer Internship Program is 12-weeks long (May 25th - August 13th) and all positions are paid hourly with an average work week of 40 hours. In addition to your daily work, you will be given the opportunity for weekly classroom trainings with Sr. Leadership, activities with other Q2 interns and the opportunity to present to the Executive Leadership team at the end of the program.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Mobile app development (Android and/or iOS)
- Maintain app code (Java and/or Swift)
- Networking with Dev, QA, and Product
- Better understanding of the software lifecycle
- Exposure to Scrum/Agile practices and working in a cross-functional team
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Must be enrolled in one of the following: Associate’s, Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field from an accredited college or university
- Familiar with Java, Swift, or similar programming language
- Comfortable with code versioning systems (git is preferred)
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate well with teammates in multiple roles
- Desire to work as part of a team and better understand the software development lifecycle
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Experience with Android or iOS development stack a plus
