News Corp is currently looking for a Lead Media Solutions & Account Manager to join our Consumer Media team to support one of the largest real estate websites, realtor.com®.
This role requires an individual who can successfully manage several projects at once, and play a big role in strategy development. Efficiency, accuracy, attention to detail, and flexibility are an absolute must and is critical to the success of this role. Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills are key, as well as the ability to assess priorities and complete assignments in a timely and thorough manner. Candidate must feel comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and interfacing with all levels within our organization and with our customers.
What you'll do:

  • Yield Management & Reporting
    • Work with national sales and account management teams to optimize ad unit sell through across all ad products
    • Work with the product team to iterate on products that have low sell through
    • Expert understanding of viewability metrics, STR, & CTR
    • Monitor under delivery of guaranteed campaigns and work with account management to optimize
  • Pricing Strategy
    • Ownership of Media Rate Card
    • Determine price strategy (CPC, CPM, Sponsorship, e.g.) for all new products
    • Create & price packages/bundles of ad products
  • Industry & Client Specific Insights
    • Review industry performance benchmarks and analyze our performance in relation
    • Help with client brand lift and case studies
  • Account Management
    • Manage a small set of key custom accounts from the proposal stage, to campaign flighting, delivery, optimizations, billing, and wrap-up reports. (Traditional Account Management functions)
    • Provide campaign status reporting to clients and sales teams. Analyze internal or third-party reports and indicate where campaigns are at risk of under-delivery
    • Work with finance at the end of all campaigns to provide reports and actual revenue numbers
    • Work with News Corp media teams for large-scale campaigns that may include traditional media
    • Work with pre-sales and account managers on creating proposals/media plans in response to Agency/Client RFP's (Request for Proposals) as needed.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 7+ years of online Account Management media experience, with advertising agency experience required
  • Experience with ad serving technologies GAM/DFP and Order Management Systems such as PIO.
  • Ability to troubleshoot delivery issues
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (formulas, vlookups, pivot tables) and Google G-Suite. Demonstrates proficiency in mathematical calculations and spreadsheet-based analysis
  • Ability to manage, collect, and integrate online advertising reporting data from multiple sources, including sites, ad-servers, and other sources
  • A strong team player who is committed to client results and can see the "big picture"
  • Ideal candidates must have the desire to learn and a strong work ethic, as well as the ability to understand complex concepts and the willingness to go above and beyond to get the job done.
  • Candidates must be able to effectively work on several projects simultaneously and be able to work independently.
  • Strong organizational and adapting skills - able to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, while handling multiple projects simultaneously and management of employees
  • Demonstrates enthusiasm, passion, and strong interest in online advertising
  • Possesses both analytical and creative thinking skills, key to developing successful media plans for clients


Nice to haves:

  • Experience working on custom, and branded content
  • Experience with Brand Lift Studies
  • Experience setting up Programmatic RFP requests and activating PMP highly desired
  • Prior people-management experience (no direct reports at this time, however, the desire to manage/mentor is a plus)
