REX is looking for an experienced compliance professional with a real estate industry compliance background. The primary focus of this role will be to ensure that our business processes and transactions continually comply with legal, regulatory, and internal protocols as our company scales to new markets and expands its portfolio of tech-enabled products and services. 

To prosper in this role, candidates should be fluent in industry compliance and regulatory documentation, file management, process management and research. This role will report to the Chief Compliance Officer and will work closely with business leads across the company to maintain compliance with reporting, licensing, and other regulatory requirements. 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Implement and manage an audit licensing program ensuring all licensed employees and business licenses are current 
  • Work closely with leadership within REX’s core businesses (mortgage, insurance, brokerage, title & escrow) to proactively maintain compliance on a continual basis with all reporting, licensure, and compliance requirements. 
  • Collect information from relevant stakeholders across REX and work collaboratively to draft compliance documentation for review.
  • Review internal licensing operations and implement revised procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of licensing activities in accordance with business goals, budgets and sales targets. 
  • Provide Legal team and business partners with transparent reporting and status of licensing, compliance, certification and other related projects.
  • Stay informed of state and federal regulatory changes and keep relevant stakeholders updated of new and changing requirements. 
  • Organize and manage files, documents, and reports. 

Job Requirements:

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of legal or legal support experience with a focus in commercial transactions, real estate law, or regulatory compliance 
  • 2 years experience at a federal or state government agency responsible for mortgage, insurance, real estate brokerage, or title & escrow compliance
  • Proficiency with GSuite 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc)
  • Self-starter with strong sense of ownership and ability to work autonomously
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities in a professional and timely manner, meet deadlines and quickly shift priorities to meet business need
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to collaborate and address issues accurately and promptly 
  • Strong communication and organization skills 
  • Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills 
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new software and programs quickly
