Responsibilities
- Manages and supports the MSR Compliance team
- Manages the Compliance mailbox and addresses branches issues and concerns within mailbox
- Review and provide conclusion on all reasonable modification and accommodation requests
- Analyze and provide conclusion on all SCRA and domestic violence early termination requests from residents with guidance from Director of Compliance
- Supports Director of Compliance with day to day management of the Compliance Management Program
- Handles all internal requests for corporate documents of owners
- Assists with all rental verification requests from third parties
- Assists with the drafting/revising/implementation of all Compliance Department’s policies and procedures
- Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
- Review and analyze relevant property management regulations and statutes for projects and business requests
- Review and advise on all resident communications and notices prior to implementation
- This role reports to the Director of Compliance.
What you’ll need to have
Bachelor’s Degree required
2+ years of relevant experience in a compliance or legal function/role, preferably in the property management area.
2+ years of management experience
Strong process and problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal, written communication, and presentation skills
Ability to prioritize multiple projects
Experience researching federal, state, and local laws preferably in the property management field
Experience with any or all of the following preferred:
Insurance claim filings
HUD and Fair Housing rules

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, digital cameras, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines. Due to travel, GPS and cell phones are also utilized.
While in the office, the position is largely a sedentary role and requires sitting for extended periods of time (6+ hours a day).
Days of work are Monday through Friday, however, occasional evening and weekend hours may be required as job duties demand.
