About the role
Canva is seeking a Contract Administrator with strong organizational skills, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to be flexible in a fast paced and constantly changing environment. You will work closely with a global legal team in improving contracting tools and managing the contract lifecycle. You will also support a growing sales team by responding to inquires related to contracting. You will be required to leverage your understanding of contracts to identify key terms and help Canva build out a contract repository. You will play an important role in helping Canva continue to grow and scale its business.
What you'll do:
- Manage record keeping for all contracts-related correspondence and documentation
- Review contracts to identify key terms and tag with appropriate metadata for contract records
- Manage and maintain the contract management tooling, including template workflows and user access of the repository
- Maintain contract templates version control
- Maintain and update the contract playbook and library for standard clauses
- Assist with the beginning to end process for contracts including assisting with approvals or signatures and filing contracts after signature
- Respond to daily contract management tool related inquiries including urgent audit or contract access requests
- Establish a successful contracts management program that is responsive to the business needs of the organization while managing risk and adhering to company policies
- Work on various projects to improve/optimize internal operating procedures for the legal and business teams
- Assist stakeholders by guiding them to appropriate supporting documentation and the appropriate contract template for their needs
Minimum requirements:
- Experience as contract manager/paralegal or as a contract associate/specialist preferably in a technology or SaaS business
- Experience reviewing SaaS contracts
- Strong technical skill set is a must: ability to work effectively with MS Office applications and/or GSuite and catch on to new technologies quickly is vital to success
- Must have experience with contracting tools (preferably Ironclad, Docusign, Salesforce, and Box)
