Overview

LegalZoom is looking for an experienced corporate paralegal to join our fast-paced legal department. You will report to the VP, Legal and Managing Corporate Counsel while partnering with LegalZoom's General Counsel and other legal leadership. This is an exciting opportunity for the individual experience in a publicly traded or large private corporation. Along with your legal support staff, you drive our governance, litigation, and compliance functions. You will contribute by implementing strategies and by executing legal operations best practices.

You will

• Own and/or coordination of annual reporting and required subsidiary filings and resolutions.
• Manage international entity reporting and filings as required by law. Extensive EU expertise will be critical in this role.
• Maintain corporate and subsidiary organizational charts, updating as necessary.
• Maintain and support national insurance, telemarketing and annual registrations for Legal Zoom and it's subsidiaries.
• Support various Department Projects including Knowledge Center, filing and organization as well as permissioning and controls
• Manage and/or coordinate D&O questionnaires
• Support and operate the BoD platform, including diligence, minute book management and various governance initiatives.
• Take point on invoicing, and budget: running the bills, chasing estimates, working with AP on payments and month, quarter, and year-end reconciliations
• Continually analyze our offerings, gathering internal sentiments and feedback to understand how our offerings align with the needs of our employees

You have

• 6-8 years of progressive experience within a publicly traded company or large private corporation with established governance policies
• International entity expertise, particularly within the EU and it's partners.
• Proven leadership in leading and supporting BoD and corporate governance and initiatives.
• Extensive expertise in various registration and entity formation activities.
• A proven cross-functional partner and leader with the ability to influence up and across the organization
• Ability to communicate clearly and appropriately to the audience in front of you, whether it's a consultative style, having an executive presence, digging down to the details, one on one, or to a broad audience.
• Strong business acumen, particularly financial and analytical skills
• Demonstrates initiative and resourcefulness
