Legal Investigations Manager, Child Safety

Facebook seeks a highly motivated, team player to serve as Manager, Child Safety on the Legal Investigations Team. This position will help protect our community and support Facebook's compliance with legal requirements by leading a talented team of investigators and analysts focusing on matters such as child exploitation. The successful candidate should be prepared to both serve as a detail-oriented manager ensuring the current workflow is handed properly, and execute a vision for future areas of growth. This is a cross-functional role that partners closely with Security, Community Integrity, Community Operations, Law Enforcement Response, and external Outreach teams. This position will be based at our Headquarters in Menlo Park, California, or our office in Austin, Texas.
Responsibilities
Oversee priority investigations that pose a high risk of harm to the community
Identify and escalate high-priority issues
Maintain quality standards while managing large volumes of time sensitive requests
Present findings to internal teams
Partner with engineering and security teams to drive impact
Manage relationships with legal, law enforcement, and industry partners
Develop a program to maximize the team's impact, which includes creating policies and making process improvements
Work off hours and overtime, including weekends and occasionally holidays, in order to support emergency matters and interact with globally based company employees
Minimum Qualifications
8+ years of investigations or analysis experience in law enforcement, national security or online safety
3+ years of people management experience
BS/BA degree or 4+ years of additional experience in investigations or analysis in lieu of a degree
Experience working with issues that includes graphic violence and content which may be considered offensive
Knowledge and experience in cybercrime and online investigations
Analytical and problem-solving experience
Preferred Qualifications
Masters or JD degree
Knowledge of SQL or Python
