We are seeking a highly motivated team player to join our legal department. This person will work as a liaison between the Legal and HR departments and will play a key role in providing legal support related to immigration, Drillinginfo's intellectual property portfolio, and insurance coverage as well as other HR matters and Legal department responsibilities. This is a great opportunity to join a growing legal team and work in an exciting, fast-paced environment.

Basic Performance Objectives

  • Coordinate between outside counsel and employees regarding immigration matters
  • Collaborate and align with Human Resources team on employment issues
  • Manage intellectual property portfolio
  • Communicate with brokers, customers, and internal stakeholders regarding insurance coverage
  • Assist with other legal department matters as needed, including data privacy, vendor and customer procurement, and export compliance

Competitive Candidate Profile

  • Experience working in a law firm as a paralegal or in employee relations
  • Demonstrated experience and skills in legal research and writing (please provide writing sample)
  • Attention to detail
  • Experience searching for and pulling data from multiple sources
  • Experience in document review and analysis
  • Paralegal certification or willingness to complete company sponsored certification program
  • Comfortable with cloud technology and SaaS
  • Understanding of intellectual property laws and procedures
  • Customer service mentality
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines and manage competing obligations
