We’re looking for a dynamic senior healthcare paralegal who is versatile, task and detail oriented, accountable, and dedicated to the legal protection of the company.


The successful candidate will be agile in taking on a variety of tasks, collaborative in navigating global teams in an expanding organization, diligent in prioritizing competing deadlines, adept at creating and maintaining organizational systems, and trustworthy in handling highly sensitive and privileged information.


The role will be based in Austin, Texas.

WHAT YOU'LL WORK ON

  • Assist in-house legal teams with reviewing and revising standard agreements, preparing form templates, and assisting with Medicaid/Medicare enrollment procedures
  • Assist with corporate governance for U.S. entities, including drafting of form resolutions, board consents and board minutes
  • Provide support, as needed, to finance and HR with Secretary of State, tax, and HR-related corporate registrations and quarterly, annual, and biennial filings for a variety of entities across a multitude of states
  • Maintain corporate books, and updating state filings to reflect changes in ownership, directors, contact information, and other corporate information
  • Assisting on healthcare contracting and contract management
  • Coordinate with other members of the US and UK Legal team to assure that matters are being covered and the department is being responsive to its business stakeholders
  • Manage correspondence, collate information, and write reports 
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the legal and compliance departments, including drafting and sending out communications, records management, and administrative office support 
  • Provide project management services for a variety of legal projects and initiatives
  • Maintain technology solutions to assist legal team

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

  • At least 5+ year of experience as a legal assistant, paralegal or corporate secretary in a law firm or highly matrixed healthcare delivery system, including experience with corporate practice of medicine requirements and reviewing and revising various legal agreements
  • Experience with preparing regulatory and corporate filings and tax registrations
  • Accuracy, attention to detail and organization are essential requirements for this position
  • Must be extremely customer-service oriented with excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Must have a very high attention to detail when managing projects, communications, and filings/registrations
  • Integrity and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, passion for problem solving, and a strong motivation to excel
  • Self-starter who holds himself/herself accountable, executes with urgency and is flexible to accept new and different challenges in a fast-paced and ever-changing startup environment
  • Ability to prioritize work streams and to work well in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Able to build strong working relationships with various lines of business
  • Paralegal Certification is a plus
  • Strong technology and computer systems background preferred
