Experian’s Technology team is seeking a talented DevOps Manager. The DevOps Manager is a technical leadership position responsible for driving the migration to a DevOps culture for our partner solutions business unit. This role will be leading the DevOps & System Engineering team responsible for the infrastructure and deployment pipelines in a high traffic e-commerce environment. A successful candidate will have a passion for the elimination of repetitive work; automation & self-service are terms this person will live and breathe every day. If you are a technical leader who embodies DevOps (communication, collaboration, integration, infrastructure as code and automation) and can drive a technology transformation, this role is for you! 

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership of the DevOps & IT Systems team. 
• Drive the migration of legacy platforms into a true DevOps pipeline. Enable software teams to “self-service”, deploying from the code repository, enable automated testing, and production roll outs – thinking continuous delivery. 
• Build a strong organization made up of dev ops engineers that embody the concept “Infrastructure as Code”. 
• Manage day to day operations for the system engineering functions including project management and project coordination with customers. 
• Technical mentor to the team. 
• Works closely with peers across software engineering and governance teams to ensure process optimization. 
• Integrate tools with cloud platform such as AWS for end to end automation. 
• Work with other DevOps leaders across Experian Consumer Services to ensure consistency with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS services. 
• Manager all 3rd party vendor relationships including managed service partners. 
• Ensure highest levels of security & monitoring capabilities for all e-commerce platforms, both on premise and cloud solutions. 

Qualifications

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar field from an accredited four-year university preferred. 
• Minimum 10 years of experience in a hand on engineering role with at least 5 years leading / managing a team of DevOps or System Engineering teams. 
• Background of creating high performance DevOps teams focusing on a 24x7 e-commerce environment that drive automation to increase speed to market and enhance self-service capabilities. 
• Deployed application in Amazon AWS, Google, or Azure public cloud. 
• ITIL certification is a plus. 
• Strong knowledge of the Dev Ops tool chain on Linux/windows platforms; Jenkins, Python/C++/Java, Ansible, Puppet, Confluence, git/tfs, jasmine, chocolaty, cloud formation, etc. 
• Deploying automation solutions in a public cloud environment such as AWS. 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across the enterprise. 
• History building a DevOps capability from the ground up. 
• Ability to work in a fast paced, e-commerce environment 
• Understanding of Linux / Windows system administration for an e-commerce business. 
• Strong understanding of Agile concepts. 
• Strong problem solving skills. 
• Has a passion for change and doing things different, with an innovative mindset. 
• Strong project management skills. 
• Able to work on pressure in a fast paced environment. 
• Able to support multiple geographic business regions (US & UK).
