Modernize is looking for a prolific B2B Content Marketing Strategist, creator, and manager to support our goals around thought leadership, demand generation, and client retention. As the voice of Modernize Home Services for contractors, you will lead the effort in developing and communicating our story consistently across all marketing channels.


At Modernize, we are extremely data driven. Your mission is to manage our review processes and product marketing. Creating the best experience for our contractors through thought leadership who are wanting to complete projects. You will be responsible for managing a robust content strategy to get more traffic from search, social and other contractor related platforms.

Who you are?

  • You are an expert at cross-collaboration. As a content marketing specialist, you will have to collaborate with multiple teams across the business. This will often include the sales and marketing department, the engineering department, product management, and senior executives.
  • You are an A+ Communicator: The ability to speak and write to a high standard is crucial. You will frequently have to present new ideas, insights and write engaging copy, telling the ‘story’ of homeownership, for various marketing channels.
  • You thrive off Research: You are proud to be the voice of the customer. Analysis of data, surveys and customer interviews will be part of this mix and you need to be well acquainted with these techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Manage content marketing calendar each month to drive brand awareness, build credibility, and generate leads (examples include eBooks, case studies, infographics, guides, videos, brochures, etc.).
  • Manage our blog with consistent article creation, including sourcing articles from guest bloggers, to increase visitors and subscribers
  • Expand our presence on LinkedIn and Facebook, improving engagement and growing followers
  • Create and maintain website content by leveraging SEO analysis
  • Support with content for digital PPC, email and print marketing campaigns
  • Lead presentation development for webinars and speaking engagements, working with internal and external subject matter experts
  • Manage all partner, exclusive webinars and events
  • Define, measure, monitor success metrics and track success of webinars, content and content marketing mediums.
  • Promote public relations efforts with agency, including press releases, earned media, and award submissions
  • Innovate, develop new content, new ideas and consistently improve Modernize Home Services as a thought leader within the industry to help contractors grow their businesses.

Experience 

  • 2-3 years of experience in content marketing (B2B or B2C)
  • Experience with managing digital content portfolios (examples include eBooks, case studies, infographics, guides, brochures, etc.).
  • Must have Google Analytics experience
  • Experience with marketing messaging through marketing platforms, including, but not limited to Social Media outlets
  • Experience/Knowledge of SEO, plus
  • Experience Tableau, plus
  • Personalization/Segmentation/targeting experience
  • Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or equivalent
  • Exceptional writing skills with proven ability to generate leads
  • Ability to think strategically, creatively, and opportunistically
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders
  • Ability to be highly creative, while leveraging data to make decisions
  • A quick learner with a passion to become an expert in the markets served
