Creative Strategist
Effective Spend is hiring a Creative Strategist to join our expert team of digital marketers. This is a unique opportunity for an analytical strategic creative who has agency experience to help us build out our creative services. The creative department at Effective Spend is growing rapidly, and this position is an exciting opportunity at a fast-paced digital agency that has always prided itself on staying at the bleeding edge of digital marketing.
In this role, you will collaborate with the account teams to analyze data that will inform a high-level performance-oriented creative strategy to be presented to the client. With the client’s feedback, you will manage the design team to create assets that will run across various digital media channels including Facebook, Instagram, Google Display Network, YouTube, and more. The ideal candidate not only has a passion for conducting analysis to inform strategy but also in presenting and selling this strategy to key client stakeholders. You value responsive and enthusiastic problem solvers and know that strong communication and detail at all levels of a project will ensure a successful outcome. The Creative Strategist will report directly to the CEO.
The ideal applicant has experience in social media advertising and design with hands-on Facebook ads management and analysis as well as a portfolio of digital creative assets demonstrating their design expertise. Experience in videography and video production is a plus. The right candidate exhibits a true passion for effectively and efficiently executing on new ideas for clients and superior resourcefulness when it comes to creating design assets to achieve specific performance goals and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate cross-functionally with account teams, designers and clients to create high performing direct response creative for a diverse range of consumers and client brands
- Help to develop agency creative strategic vision, including monetization strategy
- Interpret data reflecting consumer behavior across the paid social ecosystem to iterate existing videos, continually optimizing performance across multiple metrics
- Understand and articulate the main drivers of creative performance and provide clear expectations and measurements of performance
- Design creative briefs and roadmaps by working with account teams and designers. Use deep analysis to inform strategy and provide a detailed explanation of what we plan to create for clients
- Oversee all creative services from client request to final delivery of assets, ensuring quality and expectations are met.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements:
- 2+ years managing creative production, strategy or post-production to deliver compelling digital content for Facebook, Instagram, Youtube, Snapchat, Tiktok with at least 1 year in an agency environment
- 1+ years experience managing or supporting the management of paid social media advertising and content
- Familiarity with broader digital advertising platforms such as Google Ads, Programmatic Display, Facebook Ads, Youtube Ads, Pinterest Ads, etc. Stays current with the newest social media creative trends, and uses it as inspiration for future creative.
- Strong analysis skills, a passion for the “why” and a desire to explain their thinking to clients and other stakeholders
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, with specific experience in Adobe After Effects, Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite with advanced knowledge of PowerPoint
- 4-year Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, advertising, fine arts or a related field
- Must provide link(s) to a portfolio of digital content you have produced and/or directed or created and be ready to discuss the strategy underpinning each
