Civitas Learning is seeking an energetic and focused Demand Generation Manager responsible for generating solution demand and achieving sales opportunity and bookings quotas through unique and strategic marketing campaigns. This is someone who understands the art and science of how clear and relevant communications along with insightful analytics can fuel business.


Our Demand Generation Manager reports directly to the Vice President of Marketing and will have a significant impact on the overall organization through identifying and qualifying sales opportunities and filling the sales pipeline with qualified leads. This position will work closely with the sales team to generate and execute integrated sales and marketing campaigns to Civitas Learning’s existing subscriber base, as well as identifying and marketing to new prospects.


Primary Responsibilities:


  • Manage strategic multi-touch outbound and inbound marketing programs to increase brand awareness and meet company-wide customer acquisition goals.

  • Monitor impact to the sales cycle and work with leadership to adjust investment in programs based on performance.

  • Understand the buyer personas and target marketing activities along the buying cycle.

  • Create, produce, execute and report on a demand generation plan, working closely with the marketing team and sales and marketing team leadership.

  • Execute, analyze and continuously improve targeted marketing campaigns aimed at driving new revenue, as well as up-sell revenue from our current customer base.

  • Initiate and own digital assets (i.e. emails, landing pages, videos) and live engagements (i.e. webinars, industry events) with sales outreach and automated workflows to support the execution of impactful campaigns.

  • Use sales metrics and inputs to build new prospect lists and targeted campaigns based upon high value customer segments.

  • Own and scale marketing automation framework - whether it’s a multi-touch nurture program, the monthly newsletter or an emergency user email – as well as a reporting structure that reflects campaign effectiveness.

  • Create compelling marketing copy and tools that are high quality and on-brand.

  • Work with the sales team to ensure that they are briefed on marketing programs and have the right information to follow up as required, and then validate that follow-up is properly conducted.

  • Track and analyze campaign effectiveness to determine ROI and prioritize resources. Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior staff on key metrics on all aspects of our demand generation efforts and program ROI.


Education/Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or Communications from four-year college or university

  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B demand generation and/or marketing operations and a track record of consistently delivering measurable results and keeping ahead of current demand generation trends.

  • Comfort with the standard Demand Generation stack of technology; Salesforce, marketing automation tools (i.e. Hubspot) and website and email analytics.

  • Ability to correlate analytics and results from various prospect touchpoints and know how to adjust strategy and campaigns.

  • Demonstrated ability to craft strong copy, messages and stories that lead to high email open rates, aid in driving market awareness through press and sales team outreach, as well as aid in driving more sales by breaking down hurdles in the sales cycle.

  • Experience and passion for knowing the truth of performance through data, and then effectively driving optimizations that continuously improve results.

  • Ability to be a high performer that knows how to construct and drive support for a strategy, but also when to ask for help from leadership and team members to achieve the greatest results.
