Who we're looking for:

Modernize is looking for someone with a very particular set of skills to become its next Demand Generation Manager. This person is a master of marketing automation systems. This person has a track record of designing, executing, and iterating on B2B marketing campaigns through multiple channels, and is as comfortable writing case studies as this person is creating email nurture campaigns or running trade show booths. The ideal candidate has a love for learning new skills and a can-do attitude with no expectations of hand holding. 

The right candidate for our next Demand Generation Manager is also a solid project manager and detailed-oriented to a fault. This individual seeks to improve her content and campaigns through an ongoing dialogue with Sales and is a great listener. Operates with zero trepidation about talking to prospects, whether on the phone or at trade shows. Possess a strong team spirit. Positively nurtures a competitive nature. This person loves winning.

What you will do:

  • Be master of our Eloqua instance. Own our marketing automation data flows 
  • Know our customer journey inside and out. Create campaigns that help move customers through each stage 
  • Design, launch, test and optimize email campaigns, both to new prospects and old leads and customers 
  • Own the relationship between Sales and Demand Generation. Solicit feedback from the Sales team on what is working and what’s not, and use that feedback to drive improvements in our marketing messages and content 
  • Be the point person for B2B content 
  • Develop a content strategy that leverages our buyer’s journey to pique our prospects’ interest, convince them we are worth talking to, and eventually worth buying from. Develop that content yourself or through management of outside resources 
  • Own sales collateral. Keep your ear to the ground on where Sales could use new assets and work with Design to prioritize them by impact/effort and deliver them 
  • Execute our trade show strategy, including logistics, booth setup, communication strategy, and ROI analysis 
  • Develop a social marketing strategy that fits with our overall marketing strategy and own the execution of marketing through our profiles 
  • Manage press relations through our PR firm 
  • Bring to the table ideas for new lead acquisition channels, and be ready to learn how to launch test campaigns in them 

Who you are:

  • BA/BS degree 
  • At least 3 years experience in B2B marketing, working hand in hand with a sales team, preferably with some SMB experience 
  • Excellent writing skills 
  • Creative content creator. Has made some combination of case studies, infographics, videos, or blog posts that have driven/accelerated pipeline for her sales team 
  • Power user of Marketing Automation Systems (Eloqua preferred, but not required) and Salesforce 
  • Capable of designing emails in a MAS 
  • Strong analytical skills; a core belief in data-driven decision making
  • Great project management skills. Can drive multiple initiatives involving multiple stakeholders at once 

Bonus Experience:

  • Trade show logistics and booth experience
  • Experience using testing tools
  • Experience in Adwords, Facebook ads, LinkedIn ads a plus, but not required
