As Digital Marketing Director, you will join the Consumer Marketing team to play a critical role in developing marketing strategy and execution through digital channels to drive customer acquisition, retention and loyalty. This role is pivotal in helping RetailMeNot consumers engage with our products and save money on their purchases. This role will require a deep knowledge of digital marketing, data analytics & measurement, CRM and MarTech. You will manage a team of digital marketers and work cross-functionally to execute programs and achieve business goals. Relationship building and your ability to influence and gain buy in are critical to success. The ideal candidate has experience that spans across performance marketing, mobile, CRM, data segmentation, media measurement and project management.

Who You Are:

  • You have 10+ years of digital marketing experience with a track record of driving customer acquisition and revenue growth (Retail industry preferred)
  • You have a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related field
  • 5+ years as a people manager with proven success growing and mentoring teams
  • 5+ years of cross-channel CRM experience with a track record of managing B2C customer lifecycle campaigns from concept to completion
  • Demonstrated experience managing a multi-million dollar marketing budget and executing across multiple digital channels, including SEM, programmatic (display & video) and mobile app acquisition; experience managing both external agencies and in-house media teams
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data to derive actionable insights; experience working with a Multi-touch Attribution vendor a plus.
  • Technically savvy with a pulse on trends and innovations within MarTech and the digital marketing landscape
  • Ability to influence and partner effectively with product management, product marketing, business insights, ad operations and engineering
  • Self-starter with an entrepreneurial mind-set and determined approach to achieve success
  • Impeccable attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • Excellent written and communication skills, executive presence and experience communicating with C-suite executives
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with tight deadlines, especially during key seasonal periods

What You'll Do:

  • You will lead the development and execution of marketing strategies to drive customer acquisition, revenue and new product adoption across multiple digital channels, including SEM, programmatic (display & video), digital radio and mobile app
  • You will manage execution through both an in-house team and external agencies.
  • Lead the development and execution of cross-channel marketing strategies to support onboarding, lifecycle, engagement and retention programs in partnership with Product and Product Marketing
  • Lead, inspire, manage, and mentor direct reports to maximize their individual potential and professional growth, as well as ability to collaborate effectively as a team
  • Lead digital innovation within the marketing team by continually testing new technologies and tools, and establish a process for measuring and scaling successful programs
  • Partner with the B2B and the Sales teams to create new monetization opportunities for revenue growth from retail customers
  • Partner with the brand marketing team to develop creative strategy and messaging at the channel level and to execute campaigns that drive brand consideration
  • Partner with the product and engineering teams to develop a 360 view of the customer and leverage data for audience targeting and lifecycle marketing; identify the key drivers of engagement along with actionable insights from customer data to continually improve acquisition and retention strategies.
  • Manage campaign and seasonal planning and coordinate across the marketing organization to achieve shared business results
  • Responsible for all budgeting, forecasting & reporting on key business health metrics, including weekly traffic numbers, ROI and quarterly company goals
  • Work closely with the business insights team to optimize ROI at the channel level and work with an external vendor to develop multi-touch attribution for use in budgeting decisions
  • Utilize advanced audience targeting strategies and creative testing frameworks to improve response and ROI
  • Manage contract negotiations and relationships with external vendors, partners and agencies
  • Communicate marketing plans and results internally to ensure cross-functional collaboration and coordination
  • Be the steward for compliance with all privacy regulations surrounding data usage and targeting
