Director, Creative & Brand Marketing

We are looking for a brand marketer who can bring strong vision and a demonstrated track record of elevating and differentiating company brand. The ideal candidate will have the strong mix of design expertise and brand marketing prowess needed to lead the creative strategy and direction of the SailPoint brand.
The Director of Creative & Brand will define SailPoint's brand, ensuring our brand essence is vibrant and modern, and clearly conveys SailPoint's heart and soul. This leader will be the visionary for our brand, providing modern creative direction that up-levels our aesthetic. In this role, you'll lead the delivery of world-class creative for SailPoint's brand marketing initiatives, joining a tight-knit, collaborative team of designers responsible for bringing the SailPoint brand to life.
Reporting into the Sr. Director, Corporate Marketing, you'll drive the representation of SailPoint's look and feel in our brand and marketing campaigns, from concept through to execution. You'll serve as a true player/coach who is not afraid to get in the trenches with the team to execute projects as well as provide insight, guidance and direction to designers that result in impactful and creative work, as well as broadens and develops skills within the team.
Working in close partnership with the rest of the marketing team, you'll strive to deeply understand our customers and our brand and help craft marketing experiences that inspire the thousands of modern enterprises looking to SailPoint to be the foundation for securing their digital business. We're looking for a highly collaborative, seasoned brand marketer and designer with experience pushing brand marketing to the next level.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Report to and partner with the Senior Director, Corporate Marketing to set the creative vision for SailPoint's brand
- Serve as the go-to leader in marketing for big picture creative strategy, brand vision and overall SailPoint brand identity
- Be a steward of the SailPoint brand, ensuring the quality of creative and brand assets are exciting and modern and are consistent/aligned across all marketing touchpoints, based on clearly-defined brand identity guidelines
- Provide leadership in creative and visual brand strategy across all initiatives and deliverables, from print and digital content projects to integrated campaigns/events and the website developed to meet a variety of company objectives
- Manage and mentor creative services team, providing day-to-day direction, guidance and supervision of all creative and brand assets, while inspiring the team to come up with bold campaigns and activation concepts that span disciplines, deliver results, and elevate SailPoint's brand
- Be able to balance the management and mentorship of the creative services team while also leading by example -- driving the brand strategy and vision balanced with helping to execute against that vision (where needed) as a seasoned designer and brand strategist
- Build strong relationships across the marketing and the broader revenue organization, becoming a trusted partner leading the team's development of fresh, on-brand, high-performing creative assets
- Partner and guide external agencies and contractors tasked with producing brand and marketing assets for SailPoint
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Design, Advertising or related discipline required
- 10+ years of brand/marketing/design experience, both in-house and agency preferred
- Proven ability to translate business objectives and strategies into creative and compelling concepts across a variety of objectives (education, awareness, revenue, etc.)
- Broad experience including brand identity, art direction, brand marketing strategy and development
- Background in high-tech (and/or cybersecurity) environment a plus as well as experience managing internal teams and external agencies/contractors
- Ability to work both independently and cross-functionally to effectively manage projects from inception to completion with accountability for goal setting and results
- Strong strategy, planning, project management and interpersonal skills
- Demonstrated ability to work in a high-pressure, deadline-oriented environment, handling multiple projects and priorities
- Ability to communicate effectively and present and defend work produced by team members and agencies
