Director, Marketing Communications
The Role:
AlertMedia is seeking an experienced Director, Marketing Communications to lead an exceptional group of marketing team members to evangelize our story as we enter the next phase of our high-growth journey. In this role, you will manage corporate marketing, public relations, content marketing, analyst relations, and internal communications strategies as a driven and engaged senior leader. Our ideal candidate has a successful track record of building and leading communications programs at SaaS B2B technology companies. You’ll help introduce our product, mission, and culture to millions of people.

You’ve previously positioned a company as the thought leader in their space. You are a servant leader who paints a coherent vision, gives clear guidance, and empowers your team to surpass their goals. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable creating an overall strategy as well as hands-on execution.
You’re comfortable supporting stakeholders across the business, including demand generation, sales enablement, product marketing, and executive leaders. At your core, you’re a storyteller. You have big ideas, and you’re passionate about using content as a channel to elevate a brand.

What you will do:
- Create and implement a communications strategy that elevates the AlertMedia brand and aligns with our business goals
- Lead, grow, and develop the marketing communications team to help each member shine in their role and maximize their potential
- Further develop and position AlertMedia as the thought leader in our space by crafting a unique content plan includes but not limited to podcasts, video, webinars, blogs, research and more
- Ensure all content is excellent and on-brand, and oversee the content calendar and roadmap
- Partner with demand generation team to tell compelling stories, build brand awareness, and ultimately, help us hit our annual revenue goals
- Develop and advance the voice of key executives and SMEs through executive communications, speaking engagements, media interviews, and internal communications
- Develop and execute robust analyst relations program in a growing space
- Identify newsworthy stories that build credibility and thought leadership for the company, and collaborate across the company to bring those stories to life in a compelling way
Requirements:
- 8+ years experience leading a marketing communication strategy and team within a SaaS B2B tech company
- Excellent written and verbal communicator
- Exceptional attention to detail
- BA/BS or equivalent working experience
- Must be located in Austin,TX area or willing to relocate
