We are looking for an experienced, data-driven marketing professional to join our world-class team in downtown Austin.

What is the opportunity?

  • The Director of Marketing will be responsible for the development, execution and performance of strategic marketing initiatives that drive revenue growth. This high impact position will report directly to the Senior Vice President of Growth, manage our expanding Marketing team, and help Skills Fund revolutionize higher education.
  • This role is both strategic and operational.  The Director of Marketing will need to quickly develop understanding of our company, our products and the education finance industry, then use that understanding to execute comprehensive, data-driven marketing strategies that drive growth.
  • Responsibilities will include: 
  1. Identifying, executing and improving customer acquisition and retention (for both school partners and student borrowers) utilizing B2B, B2BC, and B2B2C marketing strategies
  2. Creating dashboards and analyzing performance and constantly improving processes and resource allocation to drive results
  3. Leading our growing marketing team, including managing digital marketing, content marketing, partner relationship management functions, budgeting, and team member coaching
  4. Working cross-functionally within Skills Fund to communicate stakeholder feedback, market intelligence, competitive insights, and growth & development needs, which will inform strategic and operational planning

  • Skills
  1. 5+ years marketing experience required, including at least 1 in a management role
  2. Experience driving revenue growth through innovative prospecting and demand generation campaigns, including ability to analyze data and respond by pulling upon different marketing levers to optimize performance
  3. Ability to develop, test, and scale high ROI digital marketing campaigns including email, SEO, SEM and social (experience with HubSpot a plus)
  4. Proven track record of optimizing marketing KPIs and budget management
  5. Functional knowledge of website development and maintenance 
  6. Understanding partner relationships and customer engagement in a B2B2C environment preferred
  7. Experience with branding strategies a plus
  8. Experience with direct vendor management a plus
  9. Strong written and oral communication skills
  10. Ability to identify opportunities and find a way to get things across the finish line
