Director of Paid Search

What we’re looking for:

Modernize seeks an experienced and proven leader for our Director of Paid Search opening. You should be a paid search marketing veteran with extensive experience with large complex campaigns. You will build and mentor your team while growing current campaigns and testing new opportunities.

• Be fully responsible for managing Adwords and Bing Ads campaigns to revenue targets within ROI requirements
• Lead overall strategy and direction for paid search team
• Work with internal software development team to create necessary management tools
• Implement modify and adapt new procedures for paid search management
• Ability to be hands on when needed to build out campaigns, features, make account adjustments, etc.
• Troubleshoot fluctuations in conversion rate, CTR, quality score, etc.
• Set weekly task and project priorities for direct reports
• Effectively teach and motivate paid search team to expand their knowledge and skillsets
• Highly involved with landing page optimization to increase conversion rates
• Create monthly and quarterly revenue projections
• Present to senior level management weekly and quarterly metrics, successes and areas for improvement

Who You Are:

• Tenured paid search professional with a deep understanding of Adwords and Bing
• Demonstrated success of growing and scaling a team 
• Self-driven to succeed and thrive in a dynamic working environment
• Extremely detail oriented with an analytical mentality

What You Will Need:

• Strong leadership experience.
• 5-8 years experience in digital marketing with a focus in paid search.
• Expert in Google Adwords and Bing.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Strong knowledge of website analytics tools (e.g. Google Analytics).
• Bachelor’s degree is required. Major/minor in Math, Statistics, Marketing, Web Technologies or related field is preferred.
