Director of Performance Marketing (Acquisition)
SamCart is one of the fastest growing e-commerce platforms because it’s built for the most popular type of new business...direct-to-consumer. Instead of building bloated eCommerce stores, SamCart lets product creators create beautiful pages that showcase individual products, which leads to higher conversions, and increased average order value.
SamCart is looking for a performance-driven Director of Performance Marketing (Acquisition) to own our digital acquisition efforts. You will take an engine that is well-funded and proven at scale, and build out an entire team to drive the development and growth of new and existing channels, taking us all to the next level.
The right hire will be an inspiring and diligent leader with prior experience building acquisition teams at high-growth companies.
- Assemble a dream team of acquisition experts (media buyers, copywriters, creative, etc)
- Manage, analyze, optimize and scale current campaigns to increase user acquisition and drive revenue
- Work with your team to develop a marketing strategy that finds the balance between prioritizing campaigns to increase revenue immediately vs. initiatives that build SamCart’s value long-term
- Deliver critical reporting and analysis to the rest of the leadership team
- Translate the Board and Leadership’s company goals into marketing team initiatives
- Manage your marketing team’s budget, as well as P+L
- Work cross-functionally with other team leaders to ensure Marketing’s needs are met, as well as meeting the needs of other departments.
- Partner with Product and Management teams to elevate our positioning and identify new product opportunities
Requirements
- Strong analytical skills–must have the ability to turn data into optimizations across the team. You’re obsessed with CAC:LTV, ROAS, etc
- Deep and working knowledge of both traditional and digital marketing, particularly paid channels including Facebook, Search, Google Content Network, LinkedIn, YouTube and native ad platforms
- Previous experience building and/or managing large acquisition teams
- Experience hiring, training, measuring and incentivizing digital marketers
- Deep experience in scaling paid digital acquisition channels including search and social
- Ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
- Strategic mindset, with ability to make difficult decisions
- Highly professional with excellent communication
