Reporting to the Head of Global Product Marketing, the Director, Product Marketing leads a team of Product Marketers who are responsible for all Product Marketing activities for the Cision Comms Cloud platform, our flagship product. Operating within a global organization, this individual works closely with Sales Leadership to develop sales tools and collateral, deliver sales training, and assist with RFPs to help drive revenue. This individual will also work closely with their peers in the Product Management organization to develop product requirements for the engineering teams to deliver, authoring the business case, and reviewing / approving new product developments prior to release. The Director, Product Marketing also works with their peers in the greater marketing organization deliver relevant messaging and content to support events, demand gen programs, websites, and communications.
The successful candidate will be a strong storyteller who can carry a room with both salespeople and customers. They will be comfortable and skilled at building relationships while working remotely within a global organization. The ideal candidate will have strong management skills and the ability to leads and mentor a team of talented Product Marketers. While this is a management position, a hands-on, “roll up your sleeves” mentality is a must. While we want this person to focus on business value propositions rather than features, they must also possess the ability to understand the product at a deeper level as required.
What you'll do:
- Develop product positioning and messaging
- Create sales tools and materials
- Work with Product Management to establish key product requirements
- Provide input into development prioritization
- Manage marketing efforts for quarterly product releases
- Competitive analysis
- Deliver sales training (in person and virtual)
- Event support (in person and virtual)
- Expected travel 20%
Here's what we're looking for:
- 5-10 years of related experience in product marketing, marketing, and/or sales
- SaaS Product Marketing experience is a must
- Experience in a B2B organization, MarTech or AdTech experience a plus
- Bachelor’s degree required
- MBA a plus
- Strong writing skills required
- Minimum of 3 years Management experience is required
