WP Engine is currently looking for a highly driven, tech-savvy Events Coordinator to join our events team. You will be reporting directly to the Director of Global Events and collaborating with some of the best marketing people in Austin. This is an opportunity to be immersed in Austin's fast-paced tech scene while gaining valuable work experience in the events industry.

What's cool about this job.

You'll be a WP Engine evangelist, driving all the moving parts of our smaller live and virtual events, while working alongside the multi-national team to help execute our large and hybrid events. And with WP Engine's virtual-first work philosophy, you'll have the flexibility to work from home 2-3 days a week, with the remaining days in our downtown office.

Responsibilities.

• Coordinate the virtual aspect of our hybrid events and webinars using tools like Cvent and Zoom
• Manage all aspects of our live and digital presence at small events, such as WordCamps and industry tradeshows
• Collaborate with internal teams, including Creative Services and Demand Generation, as well as vendors, venues, and other industry contacts to create amazing events
• Work with our swag vendor to manage our online swag store and event swag program
• Manage event budgets and process invoices and contracts
• Ensure event leads are processed appropriately
• Create post-event reports for each event

Minimum qualifications:

• Excellent organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects under pressure
• Solid digital skills, with an interest in virtual event technology
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Creative, out-of-the-box thinking and problem-solving abilities
• A positive mindset and willingness to learn

Bonus points:

• 1-2 years of experience in live or virtual event/meeting coordination
• Proficiency with Cvent event platform
• Proficiency with Salesforce and Hubspot
• Flexibility to travel as needed
