Meet the Marketing Team:

The GetUpside Marketing Team is made up of hardworking writers, data wizards, designers, and storytellers with a diverse set of backgrounds and experiences! This new Coordinator role sits within the merchant marketing team and will work closely alongside our communications and content team, the design team, and the product marketing team to build compelling, data-driven campaigns.

About the Job

The Field Marketing Coordinator will partner with our Field Marketing Manager to run the logistics and execution for mid-tier trade shows, as well as collaborate on pre-and post-trade show marketing, communications, and reporting to ensure events are run efficiently and in accordance with GetUpside branding and impact is measured.

What will you do:

  • Participate in trade show planning meetings and provide strategic logistical oversight for assigned trade shows
  • Nurture and grow relationships with regional associations to find opportunities for marketing promotion and sales engagements
  • Assist in handling event logistics, including space configuration, booth location, production schedule, invitations, catering, A/V, and marketing materials
  • Coordinate and act as primary contact for all vendors such as trade show associations, onsite facilities, installations, hotels, caterers, A/V vendors, and shipping
  • Facilitate payments and purchase requisitions for trade shows, update and track accurate budgeting and planning reports for events
  • Update and maintain trade show documents and presentations, including production schedules and supporting promotional materials and placements
  • Coordinate hotel reservations and logistics for the internal team
  • Collaborate with Field Marketing Manager and other cross-functional teams to ensure effective preparation, seamless execution onsite, and accurate post-event reporting
  • Understand audience, company pitch, and be prepared for lead capture and intake

What do you need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Hospitality or similar field
  • 2 years of experience in event planning or project management, 1 year of experience in trade show planning and logistics preferred
  • Passion for speaking to and educating audiences of diverse backgrounds with an interest in sales strategies.
  • Familiarity with detailed fiscal budgets for trade shows and corporate events
  • Outstanding writing, editing, and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • High-level organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work independently as a self-starter in a fast-paced environment and run multiple projects simultaneously to meet tight deadlines
  • Ability to travel 50% or more, once it's safe to do so!

The Fine Print:

  • GetUpside employees are currently working from home during the COVID-19 pandemic. Once it's safe to return to the office, this role will sit at our new Austin office in The Domain.
