The Role
We're looking for a data-driven, results-oriented SEO'er to join Pexels, lead our search engine traffic growth, and build an SEO team. If joining a successful remote company with the opportunity to grow, do career-defining work, and leave your mark excites you, then keep reading.
With close to 30 million sessions per month, we are one of the top free stock photo and video platforms and are in the top 400 sites according to Alexa. We've become the number one resource for many designers, marketers, entrepreneurs, non-profits, and creators from all over the world – and we are looking to keep growing.
This is where you come in. You'll be responsible for developing and implementing SEO strategies to drive new users through organic traffic channels. You love solving SEO challenges and are always looking for ways to test new ideas, then analyze their impact. Test new ideas, then analyze their impact – not a typo, we truly mean it.

What you'll do
- Develop & implement a holistic SEO strategy for Pexels.com to maximize organic traffic growth globally.
- Build and implement an experimentation roadmap. Including A/B tests, multivariate tests, layout optimization testing, or product test to impact SEO.
- Track and optimize search results and search performance across major search channels to improve rankings.
- Conduct keyword research to optimize existing rankings and uncover new opportunities.
- Regularly monitor the SEO health of Pexels.com. Determine, analyze, and report on SEO KPIs to the Head of Marketing and leadership team.
- Work cross-functionally with other teams to implement SEO best practices for Pexels and run experiments.
- Lead and build up the SEO knowledge at Pexels.
- Manage the relationship and give direction to our SEO partner agency.
Who you'll be
- Passion for SEO and growth.
- Proven track record driving traffic and growth through SEO.
- Ability and knowledge to build a world-class SEO strategy and execute on it.
- Enthusiasm for experimentation and testing.
- Well-versed in technical SEO & best practices.
- A good understanding of HTML/CSS and Javascript
- Experience with ReactJS, NextJS and/or TypeScript is a big plus but not required
- Experience with SQL to analyze SEO experiments is a plus
