Your Impact

The Internal and Employee Communications Manager is responsible for building the strategies, style, and cadences for communications throughout DISCO.  Part of the People Operations team and change management strategy, this role will enable connection, alignment, and awareness for Discovians on strategies, company announcements, and more!   This role will work across the company, including with the Executive Team and Senior Leadership Team, to provide counsel on integrated communication plans that will impact our employee’s experience. 

What You’ll Do

  •  Define communication strategies, styles, and cadences for effective for internal and employee communications, helping drive engagement and strategic alignment across DISCO
  • Partner with key cross-functional stakeholders to develop and execute integrated communications plans in alignment with program goals
  •  Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications including ongoing employee communications, intranet content and company announcements
  •  Work closely with the CEO, COO, and Executive Team on key company communications, ensuring consistent framing of messages
  • Collaborate with external communication leaders and PR for integrated campaigns and messages for internal audiences
  • Partner with leaders and HRBPs on change management initiatives to ensure awareness and adoption of key changes
  • Lead an initiative to review and enhance our internal intranet to be an effective knowledge base and repository for relevant and current information for employees
  • Be a strategic and tactical partner, especially for complicated and sensitive communications affecting the entire DISCO community
  • Collaborate with the recruiting team on employer branding to create awareness and bring the best talent to DISCO

Who You Are

  • 5+ years of experience leading internal and employee communications in a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated ability to build trust and provide counsel to a variety of stakeholders
  • Proven track record of adapting communication styles to the situation
  • Strong project management skills with ability to work on tight deadlines and create integrated communication plans
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to simplify complex messages, proactive in addressing questions that might arise, and understanding different audience’s communication needs
  • Demonstrated awareness of all facets of DEI, and fosters change and best practices that align with our DEI strategy 

Even Better if you have…

  • Prior experience in hyper-growth technology company 
  • A bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, public relations or similar field
