About the OJO Analytics Team
The Analytics team is a small but rapidly growing, high impact team at OJO. Our vision is to democratize the use of data in our company and steward building a data-driven decision culture. We aim to provide every team with reliable, trustworthy self-service access to relevant information while partnering cross-functionally and with the executive team on meaningful, deep analyses aimed at performance improvement in every function of our company. Every member on the team strives to have deep subject matter expertise on their relevant domains and has the freedom, opportunity and responsibility to own and manage the codebases for their domains in our data warehouse and BI platform. What you'll do
- Work within the Global Analytics team with a dedicated focus on marketing in support of better understanding consumer behavior, performance marketing outcomes, and audience insights.
- Inform our content strategy and domain authority efforts by delivering rich and compelling insights from behavioral data (Movoto and OJO), listing/enriched product data, and primary and secondary quantitative studies.
- Partner with Product Marketing to better understand our target customer, their needs, and their customer experience by analyzing primary research and third party syndicated data.
- Create reports, dashboards and visuals from available data sources in our business intelligence platform -- Looker -- to enable the marketing team’s B2B and end-to-end consumer efforts.
- Develop robust monitoring for digital marketing campaigns inclusive of Facebook, Instagram, Google Ads, Bing, etc and analyze opportunities to make campaigns more efficient and find new sources of growth.
- Create reports, dashboards and visuals from available data sources in our business intelligence platform -- Looker -- to enable marketing maintain a deep understanding of agent behavior and insights to help inform our B2B and end-to-end consumer efforts.
- Act as an extended member of the marketing team with dotted line reporting. Attend meetings and be an integral part of the Marketing team day to day.
- Have the opportunity to level up and sharpen your technical skills and understanding of SQL, data structures, data warehouses and business intelligence platforms by slowly taking over any reporting codebases for Marketing in the data warehouse to become an end to end functional analyst.
What we need from you

- Prior experience on a marketing team, with hands-on exposure to customer research, product marketing, or growth marketing challenges strongly preferred.

- Curious and Proactive -- reflexively follow curiosity to gain a deeper understanding and do not wait for a request to get to work on actionable insights.
- Higher education degree preferred.
- Extremely strong analytical skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience effectively communicating with Executives, team members, and key stakeholders.
- Advanced Excel knowledge (including pivot tables, vlookups, index/match, if statements, etc.)
- Beginner to Intermediate SQL knowledge at minimum and an interest in developing skills further -- helpful for writing ad-hoc queries, accessing our data warehouse as well as understanding broader data architecture patterns.
- Experience with Business Intelligence Tools such as Looker and Mixpanel (OJO Labs’ Business Intelligence Platforms), Tableau, Power BI, Mode, Domo. Knowledge and understanding of how to make visuals, use filters, etc.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL
- Hands-On experience developing and working with Looker and Mixpanel Tools
- Hands-On experience creating primary research -- customer surveys, etc. and working with leading platforms such as Qualtrics, Survey Monkey.
- Prior team management experience
