Marketing Communications Strategist
Q2 is looking for a talented Marketing Communications Strategist who will implement programs to communicate the company’s business objectives, culture, and values to our various audiences. By partnering with the Director of Communications, this person will help plan, develop, implement, and evaluate a broad range of communications initiatives across multiple channels, while making sure our messages are shaped for tone and audience.
The ideal candidate has a strong executive presence, high curiosity, exceptional creative process discipline, and outstanding written and oral communication skills. This person will also have experience communicating content ideas with the interconnected teams in creative, design, content strategy and brand and managing through from start to finish, coordinating input and approvals from internal stakeholders. Previous experience within the banking, credit union, or enterprise software/technology (Saas) industries is preferred. Specific communications experience (in-house or with a public relations agency) a must. This position will report to the Director of Communications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement internal campaigns to drive employee alignment across multiple global offices
Demonstrate subject matter expertise on communications strategies
Storytelling - package creative concepts and present them to stakeholders in a persuasive, articulate, and compelling way
Create content for a variety of communications deliverables, including but not limited to emails, blogs, brochures, byline articles, plans, etc.
Manage multiple projects with varying timelines and complexity, communicating with stakeholders and leading all steps along the way from execution to approvals along the way
Make decisions in a changing environment and anticipate future needs
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
B.S. or B.A. in Marketing, Communications, Business or related field
Minimum 3 - 5 years in communications/content creation – financial services or digital channel is preferred – and demonstrated track record of success
Outstanding written, oral, interpersonal, and presentation skills
Critical thinking/problem solving mindset
Action-oriented; does not require heavy oversight or direction
Adaptable and versatile; comfortable with ambiguity and a changing environment
Ability to positively influence team members and decisions
Comfortable partnering with all levels of the organization and with various internal teams, from product to human resources, and able to work effectively with senior leaders
