Marketing Communications Content Writer
Q2 is seeking a Marketing Communications Content Writer with a focus on developing content for brand programs and communications. This role will help us drive more brand and product awareness in the financial services industry while also creating content to inform and inspire Q2’s growing population of team members. As part of our marketing team, your primary focus will be on creating insightful and persuasive content for customer stories, press releases and other awareness vehicles, customer communications, employee communications, and other digitally focused efforts. You will work on our team to develop ideas, research, and write engaging messaging related to our solutions, products, services, business, and corporate culture. Ideally, you are a talented writer who understands the importance of crafting a message that aligns with our brand and invokes the appropriate emotions based on our company mission. You should be able to turn technical features and benefits into compelling content that non-technical folks can understand and relate to while also mastering Q2’s friendly and authoritative voice, both in the market and with our internal community of team members
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and produce high-quality content, consistent with brand and corporate style standards, voice, and tone
- Understand technical product features, benefits, and client needs and can clearly articulate these in a clear and concise manner
- Research and leverage the latest insights and statistics on a given topic
- Work on concurrent projects and ensure that deliverables are achieved on time, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and creativity
- Support development and evolution of written components that will have an application to a high impact social media and PR strategy
- Provide input and content when necessary for internal news resources, blog, social media communities, and internal and external campaigns
- Ensure writing is engaging, easy to understand, and highly informative to our audiences
- Create and facilitate internal communications, including marketing knowledge center and regular industry news service/summaries for executives/sales
- Ensure standards and messaging are consistent and maintained across all channels
- Iterate and update content and materials for accuracy and completeness
- Ensure all security, availability, confidentiality and privacy policies and controls are adhered to
- Bachelor’s Degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or English required
- Minimum two years professional writing experience, preferably in financial services or financial technology
- Skill in communicating across disparate audiences, including customers and coworkers
- Proven ability to write with imagination, clarity, and attention to detail
- Experience writing technical content, promotional copy, and internal messaging is preferred
- Ability to conduct interviews with customers, thought leaders, and executive staff
- High attention to detail with excellent spelling and grammatical skills
- Self-starter with ability to plan and manage projects from start to finish
- Can-do, highly motivated team player
- Highly proficient working with the Microsoft product suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat, and project management tools, such as Wrike
- Skilled in working with templates, styles, and brand standards
