Our ideal Email and CRM Marketing Manager is a marketer with 3+ years of experience running extensive email marketing campaigns that also has strong analytics skills. This role will be perfect for someone who has worked either agency or client-side who wants the opportunity to use the skills they have developed for a fast-growing, well-funded startup in Dallas and Austin. Reporting to our VP of Growth, you’ll work alongside world-class marketers who have come together to beat the insurance incumbents at their own game by offering digital, click-to-buy insurance over the internet.

As our Email and CRM Marketing Manager, you will take over the day-to-day management and growth responsibilities for our email marketing which includes prospecting, retention, retargeting and drip programs. This person would also focus on improving conversion rates of users who abandon our funnel by re-engaging them through email, banners, SMS, agent outreach, etc. Currently, we utilize Hubspot as our tool to manage our marketing and we would love to drive further sophistication with our strategy for engaging prospective customers. In this role, you’ll take on the daily management and testing of new ideas, ensuring channel performance constantly improves over time. You’ll also contribute to our other growth marketing initiatives and work cross-functionally to drive the success of our growth marketing initiatives.

What We'd Like You to Do

  • Improve the existing email marketing programs for prospective and existing customers.
  • Test & learn relentlessly to drive improvements in channel performance, then share what consumers respond to with the rest of the company.
  • Collaborate with and brief our creative & design teams to build new creatives (copy, infographics, blogs, etc.), value propositions, corresponding landing pages, and more.
  • Work closely with our Analytics & Finance team to ensure we deliver measurable results with quality customers, on time and on budget.
  • Work with partners to coordinate partner email campaigns that are timely and responsive.
  • Coordinate with our CX team to ensure marketing and one-to-one sales communications are aligned.
  • Develop new list sources to test for both email and other mediums (think Direct mail, SMS, push notifications, etc...
  • Troubleshoot and solve any technical issues with platforms, conversion tracking, attribution, etc. 
  • Manage and enable any external vendors, agency partners and consultants that can help along the way.

A Little About You

  • 3+ years experience managing email marketing in a metrics-driven direct marketing environment.
  • Expert knowledge of Hubspot.
  • Experience with marketing automation programs including setting different cadence of messaging for different customer segments.
  • Experience briefing designers and copywriters.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with finance, analytics, and other organizations at companies to solve complex problems.
  • Strong quantitative (Excel/other BI) skills & deep knowledge of web analytics & Google analytics.
  • Strong business acumen & excellent communication skills.
  • Organized, reliable and professional.
  • Growth mindset and a winning attitude.
  • Degree from competitive institution, ideally in marketing.

You'd Be an Exceptional Candidate If

  • You have working knowledge of SQL & Python.
  • Ideally you have experience in financial services, consumer internet, software, or other subscription business.
  • Experience working in a regulated industry.
