What is the Marketing Specialist, Content & Digital Role?

LeanDNA seeks a dynamic marketer to help shape the voice of our fast-growing startup. Our ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to build, test, and measure new content programs and initiatives. You must be comfortable seeking out new ways to support growth and advocacy business goals, communicating with press and influencers, keeping a pulse on the markets we serve, and interfacing with customers. 

You’ll work cross-functionally with sales, customer success, product, and leadership to help build our story in-market. Your job will look different every day but you thrive on that, especially when you can draw a direct line from your role to success in the business. 

Responsibilities

  • Own our brand awareness content program to establish our position in the market, including content ideation and creation, channel and distribution planning and execution, and measurement and optimization of the program

  • Support new business acquisition, customer advocacy, and product marketing programs by creating, writing, editing and managing the production of digital, print, and video content

  • Work collaboratively with SEO experts to inform new keywords creation and supporting content to drive awareness

  • Manage external content creators, designers, photographers, videographers on content production 

  • Work cross-functionally with sales, customer success, product, and leadership to identify new initiatives and programs that support business growth

  • Pitch in when needed to support all marketing functions including operations, events, and campaigns

Skills and Experience

  • 2+ years of experience in marketing or advertising, B2B experience a plus

  • BS degree in marketing, advertising, or communications

  • Exceptionally strong writing skills, work samples required

  • Ability to move quickly, deliver fast, and context switch between multiple projects

  • Drive to seek out opportunities within the business to support growth and customer advocacy

  • Experience building new programs and initiatives from scratch

  • Innate journalistic approach to content creation by first seeking to understand and define business context, audience, and goals 

  • Ability to manage external contractors and partners

  • Pardot/marketing automation experience preferred

  • Google Analytics experience preferred
