Marketing Web Analyst
ABOUT THIS POSITION
As our Marketing Web Analyst, you will have a significant opportunity to take our team to the next level. You will generate insights and analysis to help us not only understand what, but WHY something is changing on our website, daily, weekly, monthly, and even hourly.
Working primarily with the Paid Media team but part of the larger Marketing organization, you’ll be responsible for creating both ad-hoc and regularly scheduled reports for all stakeholders within the company. No two days will be alike, but generally you’ll be tasked with highlighting why things change, finding areas of opportunity, exploring traffic patterns, and helping us understand why we’re pacing one way or the other. You’ll be working with a variety of platforms and tools to help make sense of all of our data. ABOUT THE MARKETING TEAM
The Aceable Marketing Team is a talented group of digital and performance marketers with expertise in search, revenue optimization, marketing analytics, and product marketing. WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build, execute, and regularly iterate on all operational SEM, SEO, and CRO reporting to articulate performance across a variety of platforms, channels, and campaigns by utilizing and combining internal business intelligence, external ad platforms, and website analytics data
- Work with various stakeholders within our internal Marketing team to create regular pricing research and analysis and help drive competitive actions and activities
- Work with the Paid Media and broader Marketing team to create clickstream and website performance benchmarks and dashboards to identify problems or areas of opportunity
- Execute ad-hoc reporting requests from the Marketing team, and broader company as it relates to performance, competitive insights, and areas of opportunity
- Regularly distill business performance data as it relates to pacing, historical performance, and projections across all media channels
- Partner with the broader Marketing team, Business Intelligence team, and FP&A to find areas of opportunity as it pertains to uncovering and closing reporting or data gaps to help us be more efficient
WHAT YOU’LL NEED
- 3+ years of hands on experience conceptualizing, building, analyzing, and maintaining digital marketing performance dashboards to highlight a variety of constantly changing key business metrics
- 3+ years of experience forecasting as it relates to operational metrics such as traffic, keywords, clicks as well as financial metrics such as revenue, spend, and profitability
- Strong understanding of how to successfully request and work with a BI team to get the right data in, in order to analyze and make data based decisions
- Impeccable organizational skills and attention to detail. There are always multiple projects ongoing simultaneously, and you need to be able to deliver on all of them
- Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization
- Ability to run what-if analyses and present multiple scenarios to inform decision making, while understanding the limits of this methodology (there’s no such thing as free traffic!)
- Expert level experience with Pivoting, Google Sheets, and Excel
BONUS POINTS
- Tangible experience building interactive dashboards and tools to allow users to create their own ad-hoc report (Tableau, Power BI, Google Data Studio, Looker)
- Experience in an ecommerce business - understanding of how customer acquisition works across a variety of media channels
- Knowledge of Google Analytics and AdWords
