Whole Foods Market is looking for a highly motivated Floor Planning Analyst to join our Global Merchandising Presentation team. You will be part of a team responsible for delivering data-driven, actionable insights, tools and processes that contribute to the overall productivity of our stores. Above all, you will drive execution of company goals through execution of high quality, consumer-centric and operationally-efficient floor plans.

Responsibilities:

• Leads planning and execution of New Store and Remodel projects, applying strategic company direction to ensure projects meet product space, allocation, layout goals.
• Develops and maintains documentation related to Merchant & Presentation teams’ strategic priorities
• Collects and maintains macro space data collection and accuracy, including, but not limited to, floor plans, fixtures, fixture components, adjacencies and planogram set sizes. Executes data storage and reporting from information collected to partners in Merchandising, Merchandising Operations and Regional Leadership. 
• Collaborates with cross-functional project teams including Merchandising, Store Design, Merchandising and Retail Operations, and Data Sciences, serving as the primary point of contact for floor planning support.
• Obtains buy-in from cross- functional teams to ensure on-time delivery of floor plans and floor plan data.
• Partners with leadership for ongoing improvement of best practices, processes and tools.
• Runs ad-hoc analyses to identify and recommend innovative options to drive business strategy.
• Presents information effectively and responds to questions in one-on-one and group meetings involving Team Members, Team Leaders, Regional Leadership, National/Global leadership, vendors, and service providers.
• Consistently communicates and models Whole Foods Market core values and goals.
• Participates in onboarding and training new team members.
• Experience using time management skills such as prioritizing/organizing and tracking details and meeting deadlines of multiple projects with varying completion dates.
• Willing to travel up to 5% of the time for business purposes.

Qualifications:

• Preferred Bachelor’s Degree and/or equivalent experience; at least 2-4 years of experience in space planning, floor planning, field retail, merchandising, inventory management, or related role.
• Advanced skill level in space management software, including JDA/Blue Yonder Floor Planning, MerchLogix Floor Planning, AutoCAD, Revit or similar tool.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Word.
• Familiarity and experience with data processing and visualization tools such as Altryx, Tableau, or Azure
• Experienced in applying visual merchandising tactics to create and update floor plans for mid- to large-scale retailer accounting for planogram set size, flow & adjacencies and operational efficiencies.
• Demonstrated understanding of retail merchandising basics (i.e., category management), and merchandising organizational structures and processes.
• Team-oriented with excellent project management and organization skills; demonstrates proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments to meet deadlines.
• Proven ability to develop effective working relationships with all levels of purchasing team and leadership.
• Customer service oriented with ability to maintain positive attitude in all situations.
• Strong communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
