The database market is massive (the IDC estimates it to be $119B+ by 2025!) and MongoDB is at the head of its disruption. The MongoDB community is transforming industries and empowering developers to build amazing apps that people use every day. We are the leading modern data platform and the first database provider to IPO in over 20 years. Join our team and be at the forefront of innovation and creativity.

We’re looking for a digital marketing expert to drive the paid media strategy for point-in-time marketing activities. You’ll develop paid media strategies for virtual and in-person events, in close partnership with the integrated marketing team, strategic events, and local field marketing teams.

The right candidate is a great relationship builder, with experience building and executing campaigns across Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. Experience with channels outside of paid social is a plus. The right candidate is also laser-focused on results and learnings, and has experience interpreting results and making informed, data-driven decisions.

This role can be based out of our New York City or Austin office or remotely in the North America region.

As a Paid Media Specialist, you will

  • Own paid social campaigns for point-in-time activities (such as webinars and events) from start to finish, including trafficking requests, making targeting and budget recommendations, optimizing live campaigns, and distributing reports
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with campaign stakeholders, including the integrated marketing team, strategic events, and local field marketing teams
  • Manage communications related to the campaigns you manage with our media agency, as well as other vendors as required
  • Leverage social media ad platforms and analytics platforms to assess campaign performance and make informed decisions (experience with Google Analytics and Tableau a plus)
  • Extract actionable insights from campaign results and share learnings with cross-functional teams
  • Track and manage paid media performance and spend for the campaigns you manage
  • Monitor market trends and best practices and apply the knowledge to our paid campaigns

About you

  • 2+ years of hands-on experience in managing paid social campaigns
  • Strong relationship builder - enjoy collaborating and building strong working relationships with geographically-dispersed teams
  • Organized - able to keep track of multiple campaigns at once, and reference past activities for insights
  • Critical thinker - ability to help problem solve and make informed campaign recommendations to non-analytical audiences
  • Strong understanding of paid social platforms, analytics tools, and KPIs
  • Hands-on experience building and running campaigns on social channels like Facebook/Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter
  • Ability to work with copywriters and designers by creating clear requests that encompass paid media best practices, establishing timelines, and providing constructive feedback
