Khoros is seeking a Paid Social Strategist to add to our growing Strategic Services team. The mission of a Strategist is to provide Khoros customers with specialized expertise and support to unlock the most value possible from their social programs and the Khoros platform.

For this specific role, the ideal candidate is a mix of team lead, project manager, social media expert (organic and paid), and analyst who can counsel Khoros customers on best practices, social media thought leadership, and can map a path to success that aligns with business goals and objectives.

Having at least 5 to 7 years in the social media space and a minimum of 2 to 3 years of hands-on experience developing paid social strategies will be essential as well as the ability to confidently execute paid social campaigns with extreme attention to detail. This role will also lead and develop paid social media playbooks, recommend channel-specific KPIs and other social strategy-centric deliverables, as well as optimize and analyze paid social media campaigns. The candidate must be able to think strategically to identify issues that need to be prioritized or resolved, and they will have a clear understanding of best practices for executing paid campaigns across all of the major social channels (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest, etc.).

The successful candidate embraces a fast-paced work environment and is interested in supporting customers from a wide range of industries. A deep understanding of social media and major networks is key, as is a sense of curiosity and a “can-do” attitude. From developing paid social strategies, creating complex target audiences, and understanding the intersection of pairing ad types with the right objectives to maximize results, the Strategist will play a pivotal role on project teams at Khoros.

The Strategist will be a manager and mentor to team members; proactively identifying ways to improve themselves and the team around them. Collaborating with Analysts and Social Media Coordinators to support social programs that meet and exceed our customers’ business objectives, this role will report to a Senior Strategist and work closely with sales, professional services, and creative teams.

This person will be based out of our Austin office or work remotely.

 

Responsibilities

  • Effectively manage account teams and advise customers on a day-to-day level while keeping an eye on the long-term vision for goals and growth.
  • Provide strategic guidance to customers on best practices for organic and paid social programs across all major networks.
  • Answer customer inquiries competently and efficiently, coordinating with internal teams when necessary.
  • Counsel customers on current trends, innovations, and industry developments related to social media models and tools.
  • Lead a team of Social Media Coordinators, Associate Strategists, and Analysts for daily paid campaign management which includes: managing the staffing and resourcing for execution, implementing a process to ensure flawless campaigns and error-free reporting, coordinating campaign launches, budget management and optimization, maintenance of analytics, and a regular cadence of tailored reporting.
  • Manage Analysts and provide guidance on the process of collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to generate reports that provide a visual representation of social media campaign performance and insights.
  • Pivot campaign performance data in Excel to provide clear and effective communication to internal account teams and customers.
  • Collect and analyze information from multiple data sources, ensuring data is reliable, using technical expertise and tools to uncover insights, statistics, and trends.
  • Responsible for downloading raw data reports that chart customer KPIs and provide insight and analysis as to what the numbers mean for the customer’s daily operations as well as a long-term strategy.
  • Manage junior team members and assist with goal-setting, career development, and knowledge sharing.
  • Train and educate internal teams on paid social best practices and the latest trends.
  • Inform the roadmap of Khoros products that facilitate measuring performance and impact, and be an internal champion for analytics and paid media optimization at Khoros.

Qualifications

  • At least 5-7 years experience in media planning, social media, communications, marketing, or advertising.
  • At least 2-3 years of demonstrated experience with developing data-driven paid strategies and owning campaign execution, optimization, and reporting deliverables on behalf of a brand or media company.
  • Agency or brand experience preferred, ideally supporting a combination of B2C and B2B brands.
  • Regulated industries experience is a plus.
  • People management experience preferred.
  • Experience with native social media ad management platforms, including but not limited to, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Pinterest and more.
  • Experience optimizing and reporting on paid social campaigns including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Pinterest.
  • Facebook Blueprint certification preferred.
  • Excellent project management skills and are highly organized.
  • Work efficiently, are dependable, and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Ability to rapidly assess, analyze, and resolve complicated issues with little initial information or direction and with varying degrees of ambiguity.
  • Works well within highly collaborative, multidisciplinary teams with many moving parts; a highly developed sense of teamwork is a necessity.
  • Ability to manage multiple personalities and communication styles, empathize with team members, and successfully navigate interpersonal communication to create and maintain a positive team environment.
  • Outstanding oral, written, and presentation skills required.
  • Moderate travel may be required.
