PLANOLY is looking for a PR Coordinator to join our rapidly growing startup based in Austin, Texas. Working with our Marketing team, you will play a key role in shaping and sharing PLANOLY’s story. If you’re passionate about storytelling, staying on the pulse of social media and digital marketing trends, and believe in the power of a great media placement, this is the job for you. 

Your Job:

As the PR Coordinator, you’ll collaborate with our marketing team to build integrated programs involving both media and influencer relations, product launches, brand messaging, events, and more. You’ll work with our Director of Communications to position PLANOLY and our founders as thought leaders in the social marketing space and build brand awareness.

What you’ll do: 

• Create engaging and relevant content under tight deadlines
• Build and maintain media lists, conduct media outreach, monitor and keep coverage reports up to date
• Assist in shaping messaging and story angles, with the goal of inserting PLANOLY into the current news cycle and social conversations
• Help to plan and coordinate integrated marketing campaigns, write press releases, blog posts, pitch letters and other communications materials
• Draft messaging (both proactive and reactive) on behalf of PLANOLY and our leadership team
• Play a large role in developing and managing PLANOLY’s ambassador program
• Handle administrative tasks with ease and keep the PR team organized
• Conduct research and industry reports 
• Use integrated marketing communications to make the most of all marketing initiatives
• Ensure PLANOLY’s core values guide your work and interactions with your team

What You Bring: 

• Bachelor’s degree in PR, communications, journalism, marketing related field, or equivalent practical work experience
• A strong understanding of the media landscape with a passion for consumer technology and lifestyle marketing
• 2+ years of experience working in PR or brand marketing at an agency or in-house
• Ability to empathize with our users to create authentic connections and tell powerful stories
• You have a love of writing and story mining
• Excellent time management and organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines 
• You thrive working in a fast-paced environment and wouldn’t have it any other way!
• You are kind, compassionate and appreciate good humor 
• Previous experience pitching media and familiarity with Cision is preferred
