Product Marketing Director (Helix) at Q2 (Austin, TX)
Q2 is looking for a Product Marketing Director that will be a senior leader on our Helix team and support the banking-as-a-service line of business. This senior-level individual will be responsible for building and executing all facets of the Helix go-to-market plan, inclusive of marketing efforts to FinTech partners and Financial Institutions.
Within this role, you will be lead the marketing and sales teams to define and deliver cross-product messaging and develop innovative programs that drive demand. This role will require an eye for detail and quality are critical to your success, senior leadership skills, and an ability to grasp and present our product’s value proposition in a way that resonates and clearly articulates how we solve our buyers’ problems. This is high exposure and critical role for our Helix business unit for the right individual that can effectively collaborate with senior leaders across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Be a force multiplier by leading individual marketing teams to achieve strategic objectives through influence and not rely on authority.
- Lead cross functional teams that include product, sales and marketing team members to drive Go-to-market strategies that align with business growth objectives.
- Partner directly with Helix business leaders to establish overall business strategy and objectives.
- Evaluates business opportunities to define and optimize the product portfolio through analysis and understanding of targeted markets, market needs & trends, new technology, the value of the opportunity, customer business issues, and the competitive position of Helix offerings.
- Applies broad knowledge of company product capabilities and service offerings with in-depth analysis of market position to create and expand the portfolio of products and solution alternatives.
- Works closely with Product Management teams to align product roadmaps with cross-product strategies and market offerings and validate early product definitions with customers.
- Uses technical expertise and extensive industry experience to drive cross-product strategy to identify new product opportunities.
- Positions cross-product strategy in the market and manages launch and market adoption of offerings—adjusts Go-to-Market approach as required, based on feedback.
- Defines Go-to-Market plans and offerings that align with market needs and opportunities and works across the organization to prepare for the launch of those offerings.
- Responsible for developing project plans designed to address customer needs and/or expand market share.
- Understands and manages profitability, pricing, and competitive position of market offerings.
- Responsible for ensuring that all security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls are adhered to.
- Deliver presentations to clients and prospects both directly and through industry groups to evangelize Helix product strategy
- Develop thought leadership white papers and lead webinars to influence industry direction to align with Helix strategies

EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:
- Bachelor’s degree in (relevant degree) and a minimum of 15 years of related experience; or an advanced degree with 12+ years of experience; or equivalent related work experience in a market-facing role (e.g. delivering presentations to customers and prospects, conducting competitor analysis and market research)
- Extensive experience and expertise associated with the banking-as-a-service and FinTech industries
- Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office, Project, or Basecamp.
- Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack and Salesforce.
- Familiar with marketing automation tools such as Marketo, Pardot and Omniture, and Google Analytics.
- Power-user of networking tools such as LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.
- Exceptional ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is –or isn’t—working
- Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large, senior groups, and a solid writer.
- Excellent people and management skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, and third parties. Team player!
