The Opportunity

The Product Marketing team at Stoplight is the fulcrum between product, engineering, marketing, sales, and support-Product Marketers partner closely with product and go-to-market teams to help tell our brand and solution story, represent the voice and needs of our customers, create compelling content, and collect and share marketing and competitor insight.

As a Product Marketing Specialist, you will be the key marketing partner for product and engineering teams, representing several Stoplight products and bringing key features and releases to market. You will report to the Product Marketing Manager.

The Requirements:

• Own the partnership and implementation of product marketing plans for assigned product team(s)
• Work closely with Product Managers to collaborate on product roadmap, releases, launch plans, customer and market insight, and gathering customer feedback
• Assist the Product Marketing Manager in the implementation of marketing, communications, and sales efforts within the area of product focus
• Assist marketing team on development of strategic sales and promotional plans, and monthly, quarterly, and annual programs
• Utilize the Product and Feature Release process to introduce new products to the market
• Develop content such as blogs, web copy, campaigns, positioning, and messaging relevant to the area of product focus
• Develop and deliver oral and written presentations for internal teams and external customers
• Host training and demo sessions for new releases and key features
• Research products and industries including competition and market trends
• Assist in maintaining repository of competitive information and materials
• Provide reports as needed on topics relevant to assigned product line(s)
• Maintain effective communication channels and working relationships throughout the organization

The Ideal Candidate will have:

• Minimum 2+ years of demonstrable software marketing experience (including internships)
• Product Marketing certification highly preferred
• Detailed reporting skills and analytical insight
• Collaborative, enthusiastic team player
• Excellent research and presentation skills

• Experience taking new products or features to market
• Understanding of Product Marketing and/or Product Management frameworks
