Public Relations Manager
We’re hiring a PR Manager to join the #SailPointCrew marketing team. This person will be a key driver of our global PR program, working closely with SailPoint executives to evangelize our market vision, enhance our reputation as the leader in identity governance, and promote our thought leadership, globally.
The PR Manager will be a key contributor of content to support the PR program, including writing bylines, blog posts, executive quotes and award/speaker submissions. The right candidate will be comfortable writing technical and business-friendly content, as well as interacting directly with C-level executives. Key responsibilities include:
- Help to manage global PR agencies day-to-day work, helping to ensure each has access to the content, spokespeople and customers needed to drive consistent PR results
- Work closely with executives and key spokespeople on media interviews and commentary opportunities, including arranging interviews, participating in prep calls and any follow-up items required
- Help to generate press releases that promote our technology innovations, and broader company updates
- Develop a variety of content (blog posts, bylined articles, awards submissions, speaker abstracts, etc.) for business, international and technical audiences.
- Help monitor and contribute to SailPoint’s social media presence.
- Track and report on monthly metrics and competitive share-of-voice that support the broader corporate communications and marketing goals for the year
Qualifications
This position is designed for a bright, creative and technology-savvy PR pro who can understand ‘speeds and feeds’ and then articulate business benefits from it. The ideal candidate is comfortable with all aspects of public relations, including a strong sense-of-urgency and ability to juggle competing priorities that are a recurring ‘side effect’ of high-tech PR. This person should also be hungry and scrappy, showing extreme motivation to tell the SailPoint story in a variety of ways and from a variety of perspectives and angles to help us to consistently break through the noise in the media. And finally, the ideal candidate will have an incredibly strong writing background as a large portion of this job is based on providing solid written work that will feed our PR story on a global scale. Candidates should also have:
- Demonstrated PR success, including experience executing product launches, media tours and global byline programs
- Outstanding attention to detail and ability to communicate complex topics effectively
- Strong judgment and the ability to respond quickly, yet thoughtfully, to urgent PR matters
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written (writing samples required)
- 7+ years of experience in PR or communications, preferably in B2B technology (agency experience a plus)
- A bachelor’s degree in journalism, marketing or related field required
