About the Role:
We're looking for a strong technology/B2B media relations and communications pro - a self-starter, able to simultaneously manage multiple projects and meet deadlines-to join the Epicor Corporate Communications team. This role will report to the Global Head of Corporate Communications, and collaborate closely with our brand, field marketing, product marketing, and sales teams, as well as executive management. The position will focus on driving Epicor's industry-focused cloud software story across business, technology and industry media in the U.S., bringing to life how Epicor is helping solve big challenges for the makers, movers and sellers that keep our world turning. That includes crafting compelling story ideas with a strong point-of-view, connecting Epicor to real-time media conversations that matter, and nurturing media relationships across Epicor industries including manufacturing, retail, and distribution. In addition to media relations, there will also be a focus on content development, including key messaging, news releases, contributed articles, awards, speaking abstracts, and other assets to support our integrated storytelling efforts. Solid understanding of social media/networking trends and tools is also desired.
What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute proactive industry-focused media relations campaigns in collaboration with global communications team and agency partners
  • Coordinate media interviews with company spokespeople and customers
  • Develop briefing and messaging documents for interviews, media tours, trade shows and events
  • Handle inbound media requests
  • Manage editorial and content calendar throughout the year
  • Develop communications materials, including news releases, contributed articles, award and speaker abstracts, blogs, etc.
  • Collaborate with social media team to support external communications efforts across company owned channels
  • Assist with the management of the company's agency partners, ensuring the teams have access to relevant content and spokespeople as required
  • Other duties as assigned


What You Need to Succeed:

  • Bachelor's Degree required in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing or related field
  • 2-5 years of experience in technology/B2B public relations
  • Existing relationships with key media and influencers covering the enterprise software market and/or vertical markets we serve a plus
  • Knowledge of public relations best practices and procedures
  • Exceptional communication, writing, editing, project and relationship management skills
  • Quick learner, must be able to respond to a variety of media and marketing requests with tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical abilities, plus proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.) required
  • Energetic, efficient, resourceful team player with a strong work ethic and dedication to excellence
  • May require some travel (
