Bungalo is seeking a rock-star Senior Corporate Communications Associate to help lead its Corporate Communications effort. This is a unique opportunity to perform internal communications, executive positioning and more. We are seeking an expert storyteller, who brings diversity of perspective, authenticity and results. This role will be based in Austin, TX, reporting into the President of Bungalo.
What you’ll be doing:
- Formulate and execute internal/external comms strategy and developing key messages
- Assist with the development and execution of communication plans to support a variety of organizational objectives; communication plans include identification of various audiences, development of key messages and methods of communication
- Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal and external communications to ensure high quality and precision
- Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for presentation in written or spoken form
- Create and pitch with success Bungalo’s submissions for recognition in targeted publications/events in all forms
- Contribute creativity, passion and expertise to an entrepreneurial team environment where everyone’s voice is heard, highly valued and rewarded
- Identifying, collecting, developing and writing content for employee intranet, digital signs, posters, emails and other communications channels
- Acting as a liaison with other Bungalo/Amherst departments to communicate Internal Communication requests and track effective strategies
- Collaborate with department colleagues to identify external opportunities to promote internal messaging and news
- Develop, implement and analyze communications metrics and their associated tools to provide data-driven solutions for internal communications channels
What you’ll need for consideration:
- Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism or Marketing preferred
- 3-6 years of post-graduate communications experience (real estate experience is a plus)
- Superb writing and editing skills with a keen eye for detail
- Corporate communications experience including but not limited to: internal communications, executive positioning, message development and media strategy
- Strong communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
- Articulate, poised, quick on your feet; ability to work in a fast-paced environment that is client facing
- Equally comfortable working as a team or being self-sufficient
- Strong proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Strong understanding of social media trends and analytics
- Energetic problem solver with a positive attitude and passion for delivering exceptional client work
- Media relations expertise with a track record of success building and maintaining relationships with key journalists
- Experience with media monitoring using tools such as Cision and/or Vocus
