About the role

The Senior Manager of Lifecycle Marketing and Martech supports lifecycle and martech initiatives across all LegalZoom products and services. This individual works closely with cross-functional stakeholders and plays a crucial role in implementing personalized, customer-centric cross-channel campaigns and experiences that align with the team’s roadmap and overarching company objectives. They are responsible for overseeing team operations and resourcing, both delivering and translating project requirements, and maximizing segmentation and targeting capabilities to enable successful customer- and business-focused outcomes. They help bridge the gap between Lifecycle strategy, product, BI, and engineering teams to ensure cohesive customer experiences can be brought to life. This individual is highly passionate about personalization, marketing technology, data, and operations, and motivated to optimize LegalZoom’s lifecycle marketing and martech infrastructure.

 

You will:

  • Manage, train, and grow lifecycle/martech operations team members; develop and guide team adoption of tools and operational processes
  • Develop and improve processes regarding team output
  • Develop & launch training and documentation for new and existing users to help scale team
  • Ensure campaigns, automations, tests, product changes, data enhancements are accounted for and are seamlessly rolled out
  • Translate requirements from creative briefs and help plan for highly dynamic, targeted campaign launches and automated journeys
  • Plan, build and execute cross-channel communications, campaigns, and nurture programs
  • Effectively communicate recommendations based on data limitations, opportunities, and best practices
  • Establish and maintain hygiene protocol for outage alerts, campaign tracking and landing page functionality
  • Acquire thorough knowledge of backend data infrastructure along with marketable data in ESP; identify opportunities and work with BI team/Data Steward to enhance marketing data feeds
  • Clearly communicate data/platform opportunities to come up with scalable solutions
  • Develop and ensure automated and scalable reporting solutions to enable near real-time marketing data insights
  • Evaluate and recommend 3rd-party integrations that will further grow and modernize lifecycle program
  • Liaise w/ vendors to stay abreast of current/upcoming features that may enhance the program
  • Help improve the team’s program with knowledge and research on latest industry trends, innovations, best practices, data privacy, and applicable regulations
  • Help build out & evangelize MarTech strategy and roadmap in a way that enables all of Marketing to achieve goals

 

You have:

  • 7+ years of digital/email experience in development, quality assurance (QA) and deploy roles, of increasing complexity
  • Experienced people manager, with track record of investment in employee success
  • History of executing detailed digital requirements with strong deadline orientation
  • Thorough Project tracking expertise (such as JIRA or Asana)
  • Detailed and organized manager of deadlines, resources, timelines
  • Working knowledge of HTML/CSS fundamentals, with the ability to make recommendations on responsive design coding and conduct quality assurance testing as needed
  • Experience with Datorama, Excel, Google Analytics, and Tableau is a plus
  • Knowledge of SQL fundamentals or other database technologies
  • Experience with A/B testing (test design, list splits, deploy, results)
  • Knowledge of cross-browser and mobile optimized email designs and webpages
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and priorities with minimal oversight
  • Solid knowledge of email best practices and compliance
  • Hands-on experience with ESP platforms. Experience with larger platforms such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Responsys, Adobe, a plus
  • Experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud ampscript coding language a plus
  • Able to think “outside the box” to come up with creative solutions
  • Skill in communicating both creative and technical issues, to technical and non-marketing colleagues
  • Strong analytical, writing, grammar, and editing skills required
  • Attention to detail and hybrid marketing/technical skills are instrumental to this role
  • BA/BS degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred
  • Supreme attention to detail to prevent issues from arising and great at troubleshooting and resolving quickly, if they do
