Provides leadership and oversight to the Onsite & Channel Marketing team. Oversees all web and onsite components across Whole Foods Market and Amazon web properties. Directs development of company e-commerce marketing programs and overall website digital strategy to maximize brand presentation and customer experience. Oversees the research, analysis, and channel performance and designs marketing plans to capitalize on business opportunities.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Provides day-to-day leadership and guidance for Onsite & Channel Marketing Team Members.
  • Supports web, mobile, and other digital operations and ensures effective project management, build, QA development, and reporting.
  • Brings strategic thought leadership ensuring marketing, communication and business priorities are being advanced.
  • Partners with digital managing editors and web designers to implement customer-facing programs and campaigns across web site.

Supports / guides team efforts to:

  • Analyze customer behavior and digital metrics, interpret results, and create recommendations for future development / program execution,
  • Create engaging site experiences to make shopping both easy and fun for customers,
  • Develop integrated (including web and mobile) marketing plans and schedules
  • Test engagement concepts and revise / recommend revisions,
  • Execute plans and monitor effectiveness in terms of customer impact, spend, and revenue generation.
  • Researches and analyzes customer behaviors and expectations; acts as voice of the customer in internal Onsite & Channel Marketing planning and development discussions.
  • Analyzes and tracks site performance against established goals.
  • Works closely with marketing, operational, development, and other teams regarding digital strategy and content.

  • Drives decision-making and team focus through solid understanding of company operations, marketing, and differentiation strategies.
  • Facilitates Team Member training, development, and career management efforts.

  • Ensures data-based insights are shared with the appropriate decision-makers.
  • Able to present complex / multi-faceted communications and information to key stakeholders in a clear and concise format.
  • Contributes to departmental / functional strategy development and ensures appropriate team focus and alignment.
  • Recommends messaging, response tactics, or other adjustments based on analysis of business changes, trends, and implications.
  • Assists in detailed task / project planning, including cost, schedule, and resource requirements.
  • Integrates internal and external stakeholder information and perspective in task and project management.
  • Maintains open communication among all task / project stakeholders, internal and external.
  • Monitors outcomes and incorporates lessons learned into future task / project activity.
  • Demonstrates understanding of industry, market, and company dynamics and business drivers.
  • Demonstrates understanding of partner and competitor dynamics and business drivers.
  • Able to draw connections between industry and segment-specific market trends and understand the WFM business implications.
     

Education & Experience:

  • BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • 0-2 years’ leadership experience.
