BigCommerce, named a "Best Place to Austin"in 2017 is looking for a Senior Manager, Partner Marketing to create and drive our Design and Solution Partners (DSP) strategy and lead the strategy and communications to our programmatic partners. The position requires a blend of abilities including building and managing relationships, creative thinking on strategies and programs, managing marketing development funds and budgets, and ensuring programs are measured and prioritized based on key business objectives, and will play a key role in our long-term growth strategy of engaging and growing our community of third-party partners. We work with the best ecommerce designers, developers and marketers in the world to help our merchants succeed, and we are actively growing our ecosystem of partners, a strategic component of our long-term success.

As a Senior Manager, you will be providing cross-functional leadership for all partner-marketing related activities for DSP partners, oversee programmatic marketing strategy and collateral development for all partners in the partner program, manage a team, and act as a trusted collaborator and leader to cross functional peers.

What you’ll do

Create the DSP marketing strategy

  • Work closely with the Channel Account Manager (CAM) team and leadership to define the strategy to win in the DSP channel
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop high impact co-marketing strategies, joint pipeline acceleration campaigns, and other types of marketing initiatives

Execute and measure success of your strategy

  • Lead marketing activities that drive acquisition of new DSP partners on our platform, communicate benefits of our platform to our partners and their customers, and deliver co-marketing revenue-generating campaigns via partners
  • “Market to and through” partners (e.g. understand how the merchant value prop of BigCommerce translates to a value prop for DSPs, enable our partners to better understand the market potential for eCommerce within their SMB and MM client base, gather competitive intel through our partners to ensure our marketing materials improve in quality and reflect the current state of the market, etc.)
  • Define and partner with channel leaders to implement integrated campaigns including email, digital, in-product, events, and thought leadership content for both through and to partner marketing activations
  • Lead the creation of joint value / co-marketing material (e.g., joint solution white papers, collateral, marketing and sales presentations)
  • Lead the execution of partner marketing and awareness programs, including partners in BigCommerce events, media relations, social media and community awareness programs
  • Lead programmatic marketing activities that enable successful onboarding, engagement, and retention of partners, as well as revenue generation via partners
  • Attend to the needs of our partners and advocate on their behalf to deliver the best partner experience in the eCommerce industry

  • Lead, inspire, manage, and mentor a team of marketers on Go-to-Market execution to drive revenue and acquisition goals

Who you are

  • Experienced
    • 7+ years of software / technology marketing experience, focused on partner marketing
    • Rock Star Marketer with an amazing portfolio of partner campaigns
    • Proven experience leading cross-functional teams, creating success and instilling best practices
    • Advanced level experience with marketing automation systems and Salesforce.com
    • BS/BA in Marketing, or related field required; MBA preferredLeader - You are a proven leader with a strong desire and understanding of how to develop people in a supportive, accountable environment and inspire them to give 100% effort and perform at levels higher than they imagined they could achieve.
  • Personable - You are seen as outgoing, relationship focused, positive, energetic, and exude a strong sense of teamwork by working effectively, respectfully, and efficiently with all team members.
  • Business Savvy - You possess a deep understanding of software and the ecommerce space, have a high degree of business and marketing acumen, and are extremely analytical with strong problem-solving abilities
  • Strategist - You have perspective and can see and discuss multiple aspects and impacts of issues and project them into the future, recognize what can/should be done now to affect future performance, and see and understand the challenges between the current and the ideal situation.
  • Customer Focused - You have passion for the partner ecosystem, understand profiles of various types of partners and their programmatic requirements, and want to deliver the best experience possible for future and current customers.
  • Communicator - An excellent written/verbal and interpersonal communicator who builds cross functional bridges and success.
  • Collaborative - You have a true team mentality (your work requires collaboration with partners in Business Development, Product Marketing, Customer Support and much more) and demonstrated success working cross-functionally in larger organizations, and have the ability to forge strong bonds and work collaboratively with key external and internal partners.
  • Adaptable - You are flexible and efficient, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, and adjust quickly to the changing need of the business
  • Composed - You have the ability to balance Getting Sh*t Done with humility and sense of humor and know how to execute consistently in a fast-paced, high pressure, dynamic environment.
