About the Position

At Rev, we value ownership, growth, and service and we are seeking an SEO Lead (alt: SEO Manager) who will be responsible for owning and developing Rev’s Search Engine Optimization strategy and tactics to optimize/grow the funnel that brings in a constant stream of quality traffic to our website that drives conversion on Rev.com, Temi.com, Rev.ai.

The person in this role should be analytical, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication skills (both verbal and written). You should feel comfortable and capable of working with leadership to hone strategy as well as writing requirements or making site changes. In this role, you’ll work closely with our Content, Engineering, Social Media, Design, Video, Demand Generation, Paid Media, Product Marketing, and Web Strategy functions.

As our SEO Lead, you will:

  • Build, own and continuously refine Rev’s SEO strategy for our key audience segments
  • Understand our metrics and measurements and be responsible for data gathering, reporting, and communicating progress against roadmap initiatives to executive staff
  • Continuously identify new SEO growth opportunities by analyzing existing content architecture, keyword constructs, audits, and data/traffic analysis
  • Keep up with and educate Product, Design, and Development teams on industry trends, search engine algorithm updates, and competitive landscape
  • Collaborate with the Content team to develop, socialize and champion an SEO content strategy that is backed by data and forecasts
  • Collaborate with the Paid Media team to strategize and balance the tradeoffs between our owned and paid channels
  • Make website updates and edits to both on-page and technical SEO, ensuring that both are maintained on a consistent basis

Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of SEO experience; minimum 7 years at least across major search engines
  • Experience developing & driving SEO strategies for a SaaS business for B2B and B2C
  • Some experience working with an external agency or third-party consultant/contractor
  • Proficiency with SEO research & data analysis tools like ScreamingFrog, Ahrefs, SEMRush, Google Analytics, and Google Search Console
  • Ability to articulate ideas to developers in SEO content documentation, writing detailed JIRA tickets for technical SEO strategy Familiarity with JIRA is a plus
  • Expert-level knowledge of both SEO content strategies and technical SEO tactics
  • Knowledge of UX best practices in the areas of Information Architecture and User Flow
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS, XML, JavaScript, and Schema Markup is a plus
  • Experience executing SEO strategy on a WordPress website or blog
  • Experience with Contentful or a similar CMS is a plus
