SEO Manager

ProjectManager.com is an award-winning Project Management software company, with thousands of paying customers around the World like NASA and the United Nations using our SaaS platform to manage projects. We are now seeking a full-time SEO Manager to further fuel our company's growth. This position will be based in our Austin, TX office and due to its importance, will report directly to the VP of Marketing.
Job Role
Are you an experienced SEO Strategist and Website Conversion Specialist who enjoys creating the strategy and then getting your hands dirty with the work itself? If you know what it takes to build traffic to a website and then convert it into paying customers through a clear sales funnel and series of call-to-actions, then we would like to meet you.
You will come with a proven track record of growing successful businesses through meeting challenging SEO goals for keyword rankings, targeted organic traffic and conversion rates. You will also have serious expertise in funnel conversion, onsite optimization, site architecture and as a nice-to-have, PPC .
As we are a small company, this is very much a technical hands-on role. It reports to the VP of Marketing and will work closely with the CEO. You will have influence across the entire marketing team and your opinion, ideas and thought leadership will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities
Google Rankings
- Keyword Rankings: Apply “white hat” techniques to gain top rankings
- Link Outreach: Advise our Outreach Specialist on the sites to target
Website Architecture
- Architecture: Architect a new website for ProjectManager.com
- Optimization: Optimize our website for user experience and organic traffic
Conversion
- Funnels: Build targeted sales funnels and track their conversion rates
- Conversion: Make on-page changes to boost conversion rates
Analytics
- Tracking: Identify problems, opportunities and trends from Analytics
- Improvements: Use tools to record and improve user experience
Other Responsibilities:
Working with the VP of Marketing, you will be involved with and often lead a suite of marketing initiatives targeted at increasing sign ups, through:
- Content and Inbound Marketing
- Social, Mobile and Video Marketing
- Freemium Marketing
- Guerilla Marketing
- Viral Marketing
- Affiliate Marketing
- Partnering & PR
Primary KPI
The success of your role will be measured by “the number of new users signed up for our software, per week”.
Skills and Experience
Soft Skills
You will have the ability to:
- Strategize, plan and execute using a proven formula for success
- Analyze large data volumes and clearly articulating recommended courses of action
- Plan a 12 month roadmap ahead, identifying key milestones
- Assert your SEO influence across the entire team, in a positive and constructive way

- Preferred in-house experience at a SaaS or software company
Technical Skills
- 2+ years SEO experience
- Deep knowledge of Google algorithms and ranking factors
- Extensive knowledge of website architecture
- Lengthy experience in funnels, conversion and metrics
- Guru in Analytics, able to measure complex sales funnels

- Highly intelligent, a quick learner and fantastic at multi-tasking
