RetailMeNot is looking for an experienced SEO Technical Manager to lead initiatives that improve organic search performance for RxSaver’s web properties. This role requires a deep understanding of SEO standard methodologies, technical expertise, and effective communication skills. Your ability to partner with product, marketing and engineering teams to implement and maintain SEO strategies will be critical to the success of this role.

The ideal person for this role will have experience developing and implementing technical SEO strategies across site structure, performance and user experience. 

Who You Are:

  • You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, relevant work experience
  • You have 5-7 years of hands-on SEO work experience, with a focus on technical optimizations
  • You have an understanding of web development techniques as relatable to the SEO function
  • You have 3 years minimum of experience consulting with site development teams on site architecture and coding to ensure SEO standard methodologies applied
  • You have at least 3 years experience managing on-page optimizations (metadata, keyword usage, internal linking, etc.)
  • Ability to write complex queries using database query languages, such as SQL or MDX, and experience with large data sets
  • Content management systems and knowledge of HTML, XML, JavaScript, FLASH and CSS as they relate to SEO
  • Dynamic content-generating scripts and database integration scripts like jQuery, AJAX and JSON
  • Extensive experience utilizing leading SEO, web analytics and search research tools and technologies
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well with cross-functional teams as well as individually to drive results
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Exhibit dynamic project management skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Intellectual curiosity and strong analytical skills; ability to use data to generate meaningful insights and business outcomes

What You'll Do:

  • Develop and execute a roadmap of SEO strategies to increase organic search rankings, traffic and conversions;
  • Document, prioritize and implement SEO techniques such as title and meta tag A/B testing, indexing improvement, link building, overall site architecture and content optimization;
  • Direct search engine performance tracking and assess search outcomes related to advertising/marketing campaigns
  • Complete research and analysis of site traffic, site architecture and page content to provide recommendations for technical SEO enhancements;
  • Provide training on technical SEO concepts to internal teams to support their growth and performance.
  • Collaborate with paid search, content, product, engineering, brand, and digital marketing teams by providing analysis and recommendations to support their success.
  • Review weekly builds to ensure new code follows SEO best practices;
  • Monitor, analyze and report on SEO technical performance with a focus on search engine crawlers;
  • Research and stay-up-to date on new developments, trends and technologies within the SEO space;
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts
