As Miro continues to grow its brand awareness and community, we’re looking to grow out our social media presence. In this role, you will grow, develop, and nurture the content and communities being built across current (and new!) organic social media channels (Twitter, Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram, Youtube). You will help execute on Miro’s evolving social media strategy by channel, sourcing content from cross-functional teams across Miro to run campaigns around content and team initiatives, and be the public facing voice for our communities online.

As a Social Media Specialist at Miro on the Content & Communications team, you’ll be a member of a team that values creativity, innovation, and experimentation. Through social media content creation, you get the rare opportunity to have highly cross-functional role in which you will wear many hats: you’ll get meet and learn from users, surface customer feedback and requests to the product and engineering teams, work closely with the brand team to devise new, creative campaigns for showcasing and positioning Miro, source new opportunities for partnerships and sales, and keep a pulse on the product landscape. You’re our eyes and ears for following trends, building community, and developing new relationships in the product category.

What you’ll do 
  • Own a varied organic social calendar, including both content you create and content you source from other teams from marketing to product
  • Amplify the impact of our field and community events through live sharing of photos and video
  • Ensure everything we share is in the Miro voice and adheres to visual brand standards
  • Contribute to content promotion through identifying and posting in new communities on social media
  • Enabling Miro employees to serve as “Miro ambassadors” through employee social media accounts
  • Track industry, competitor and product category trends and changes as noticed over social media
  • Identify and develop relationships over social media to source Miro champions, content producers, and partners. Track qualitative trends across competitors, the industry, and user engagement with Miro
  • Increase Miro’s social reach (impressions + mentions) month-over-month
  • Track followers, impressions, engagement, and clicks to identify trends
  • Coordinate with paid social manager to sponsor high-performing posts
  • Apply your creativity to launch experiments in tactics, formats, copy, and visuals
  • Triage any product questions, bugs, or issues by answering a user question or surfacing to our Customer Support team
  • Surface any product feedback or feature requests to the correct Miro team
  • Engage in discussion in social media conversations and communities in our product landscape
What you'll need
  • 1-2 years of experience (internship, work, academic study) in marketing/communications on a business level
  • Writing-intensive background in humanities or communications
  • Preferred: experience in a startup, experience writing about software, demonstrated interest in tech and SaaS
  • Excellent, detail-oriented writer with a strong ability to identify the audience you’re writing for
  • Experience using a variety of social media platforms (Linkedin, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Youtube, Reddit, etc.)
  • Ability to use basic design editing suite for visual + video production (iMovie/FinalCut, Adobe/Figma/Canva)
  • Strong, intuitive writer, capable of adapting writing to a changing medium
  • Independent and creative thinker
  • Proactive self-starter that is organized, good at planning and maintaining deadlines
  • Ability to think strategically and communicate in a data-driven way
  • Outstanding people communication skills, empathetic, self-aware
